In Labor Issue, Cowboys' Owner Jerry Jones Might Be A Huge Jerk

In the last few days before the negotiations on a new Collective Bargaining Agreement broke down, it has been reported that Dallas Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones, made some extremely offensive comments and gestures that could label him as a huge jerk in the proceedings.

Apparently, he chided the players as a group, telling them he didn't think they were paying attention to what the owners were saying and therefore he would show them. Before walking out of the meeting, Jones put his fists together in a sign that must have signalled a lockout.

Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson got up to leave with Jones in a sign of unity but New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft, who has come across as a reasonable guy who honestly wants to get this deal done, convinced him to stay in the room.

JJ has the most to lose

everyone knows he’s got plenty of money

JJ just wants to bust the cap so he can buy championships and think its cause he’s brilliant.

Jurrah

They’re all morons. Owners and players alike.

The few guys I believe are actually good people in this whole mess are Steve Bisciotti, Robert Kraft and and the Rooneys. Everyone else have been total assholes from what I hear. Not surprised that the Panthers owner and Jones are acting like they are towards the players, their teams freaking suck and put up shitty records year after year.

"If only Flacco could put up numbers similar to Matt Ryan, or maybe just improve his stats year-to-year, he wouldn’t seem like such a wasted draft pick. It’s as if a young quarterback needs to put up better stats in his first three years than nearly every other quarterback to play in the NFL to justify a first round pick." - Amp

Agreed I didn’t hear the Rooney’s speak on it yet, but Kraft came off as a very classy guy through all of this.

I think a lot of the owners should realize that they are hurting their teams pretty bad as well. The way a lot of teams approach the draft each year is based on knowing who they have and don’t have and will try to find some players that can contribute. For teams like us if we were to re-sign Gaither, we proably would not go OT in the first, but with not knowing we may have to or run the risk of missing out on one and losing Gaither. A lot of teams will have to deal with similar situations and it can be tough to know how to improve your team when you aren’t completely sure where the biggest needs are.
