Ravens' Foxworth Terms Owner's Offer "Laughable"
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Domonique Foxworth has been doing a lot more than just recuperating from his torn ACL injury he suffered just before Training Camp last summer that forced him to miss the entire 2010 season. He is on the Executive Committee of the NFL Players Association and has even been rumored to be the next leader of the NFLPA once he retires from football.
For now, he is part of the players entourage negotiating with NFLPA Executive Director, DeMaurice Smith, with the owners to secure a new Collective Bargaining Agreement in time to prevent an owners-led lockout that could jeopardize the 2011 season. However, with the seven day extension due to expire today, he has been quoted as calling some of the owner's offers "disrespectful" and "laughable."
Domonique was interviewed by CNBC and had a lot to say, including being pessimistic that the two sides could reach an agreement anytime soon. Check it out on the National Football Post.
