I do think Baldwin has potential, but I don’t think they should compare him to Calvin. Calvin might be the most physical freak there is in the NFL and it’s crazy to compare him to Calvin. Give me some Hankerson and Young.
If anyone is compared to Calvin it is AJ Green.
I find it funny that there is so much talk around here about guys like Torrey Smith, Titus Young and Hankerson, yet to many of the experts and media, Baldwin is the 3rd best WR in this draft. He is a big guy that does it all. Lack of production scares me a bit and the fact that he played for Pittsburgh, that just seems yucky to have on this team.

I definitely would not mind if we got baldwin, I just like Hankerson’s upside. I like that he was a terrible route runner and had inconsistent hands and he made huge improvements in both area’s. That show’s me that he is not content on just relying on his natural gifts and isn’t afraid to put in the work. Plus I heard he has freakishly huge hands and I would like to see some of those one handed grabs here.
Pitt was always a RB oriented offense under Wandstadt (sp?). Baldwin’s production should be lower than his talent suggests.

Wasn't Flacco backup to
a coach’s son or something like that? Tyler Palko?
aka 'Rexx'

Palko was the incumbent, and Wandstadt didn’t want an open QB competition. He thought it might hurt Palko’s potential and growth.

Casey Matthews please
WR in the first, Matthews in the second, and I’ll be a happy camper.

Matthews isn’t going to be a 2nd round pick. Most likely 3-5. While he is a good player, he definitely is nothing like his brother.

You’re probably right, but only time will tell. IMO grabbing him in 3rd or later rounds is still a pretty good bargain.

Oh, don’t get me wrong, I would love to draft Casey Matthews. Judging by his blood line alone, we can probably say he is going to be a damn good player. I just wanted to make sure people aren’t expecting him to be like his brother, because he probably won’t be.

I’m a little skeptical about using a 2nd on Matthews. He was productive, but his size and strength worry me a bit with him being able to get off blocks. He definitely has great genes and would not be shocked if he turns out to be solid, but I’m not sure I would risk a 2nd on him.
Well we obviously missed out on Clay. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big fan of Oher. But Oher wasn’t getting cheated out of POY awards in his second year. Now granted one brothers success doesn’t necessarily translate into another brothers, but you said it yourself, the kids got great genes. I just don’t want to be kicking ourselves in a couple of years when Casey is tearing it up in the league.

Greg Jones, we miss the sideline to sideline speed
Greg Jones (6-feet, 240 pounds), Michigan State
2010 Stats: 106 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 1 sack
Jones is in the Lewis mold in that he’s a little shorter than most linebackers, but he is also a heat-seeking missile. And, his leadership – Jones was a first-team All-Big 10 selection for three years in a row – is stellar. Jones may need to add some bulk at the next level, but his sideline-to-sideline speed is impressive.
just read that on baltimoreravens.com
i like him and martez wilson. i wouldnt mind grabbing both of those guys but i would like to see us get a defensive back within first two rounds.
