Plaxico Burress Not Headed To Ravens?
According to a story on SportsIllustrated.com's FanNation, former Pittsburgh Steeler and New York Giant Plaxico Burress is in great shape and looking to return to the NFL after he is released from his two-year prison sentence in June. Burress' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, reports that Plaxico is in great shape, working out five days a week, and ready to get back onto the football field.
Gee, they let you work out in prison, what a surprise!? But where could Burress wind up, how are his football skills and who would actually want the felon? At one point, the rumor was that the Baltimore Ravens might be interested in the receiver who could not only stretch the field but provide a big target for QB Joe Flacco.
However, according to FanNation, the three teams most likely to land Burress are the New York Giants, New York Jets and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Does this make Ravens fans happy or sad? You be the judge.

So be it
Last thing we need is another washed up receiver way past his prime. Let’s get some younger guys in here. We were stacked with veteran receivers last year, and we all know how that ended up.

I think the possibility of him coming here is still open if we draft a wideout
it still doesnt mean that they player will be a instant impact and we dont know how David Reed will pan out
No thanks!
Not what we need. We have already seen this experiment fail, so why do it again?
Carolina or some scrub team will sign him.

Eli will take him back in a New York second
after all, he helped him get a ring! (although it did nothing for David Tyree, huh?)

Maybe if Tyree had made that catch by using talent/technique and not just sheer luck, they might have kept him around.

Pretty sure NYG is just fine with Smith, Nicks and Manningham in there. IMO, that is the best WR group in the league.

I watched a few of their games and they need him back.

Yea, you probably watched when Smith and Nicks were hurt. Trust me, no Giants fan will tell you they want him back.

But wasn't he
C-Mac best friend? They shared foot-stomps together so many times when the Steeers and Ravens got together!

If Plex came back to the Steelers
that would make me a saaaad panda.
He should go to Cleveland or Seattle. Maybe the bungles would take a flier on another old, washed up receiver that was great 4 years ago…

You guys don't really need Plex
He really wouldn’t have a spot to fit in on the team. I see the Jets looking at him hard (they will buy anyone that they think can still play decently regardless of team chemistry) and then some of the lower teams like the Bungles and Seattle will give him a test.

Yeah, I could see Rexxy the Hutt
letting Holmes go to get an older, not as good version of him with Plex. Maybe he’ll go to the Cards. The Whiz LOVES ex-Steelers.

Rex just seems to go after anyone
If the player at one time was good to great, he wants to get him in. Since the Jets receiving core all has butter fingers or is mediocre, I see them making a move for a guy that brought a SB to New York (it sure as hell wasn’t all Eli)

I think Plex would be a #2 guy anywhere he goes
I’m calling it right now: Burress will go to Arizona.
