The New England Patriots (9-3) are tied with Baltimore (9-3), Houston (9-3) and a half game behind the Pittsburgh Steelers (10-3), who already played and won last night. With a win against the Redskins on Sunday, New England will reach 10 regular-season wins for the ninth consecutive season and would join the San Francisco 49ers (16) and the Indianapolis Colts (9) as he only teams to accomplish the feat in NFL history.
Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who has an NFL-best 37 touchdown passes this season, has registered multiple TD passes in each of the Packers' first 12 games in 2011. With two TD passes on Sunday agains Oakland, Rodgers will tie Peyton Manning (13) for the most consecutive games with at least two touchdown passes to start a season, one ahead of Baltimore Colts great, QB Johnny Unitas (12) in 1959.
Carolina rookie quarterback Cam Newton has passed for 3,297 yards this season. With 216 yards this Sunday against Atlanta, Newton can surpass Matt Ryan (3,440 in 2008) and Sam Bradford (3,512 in 2010) for the second-most passing yards by a rookie in NFL history. Peyton Manning holds the rookie record with 3,739 passing yards in 1998. Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco is fifth with 2,971 passing yards in 2008.
