question for Ravens fans about a couple of your players....
Hi Guys!
I am a big of the University of Utah football team. We have only been relevant for the past ten years or so, but we are a close knit bunch. Basically, I am going around and asking fans of teams that have some former Utes what they think of them. Doing a story for my blog, so I thought I'd go to the best fans around.
Baltimore has Paul Kruger and David Reed.
What are your thoughts on these two? Have they lived up your expectations? Have they dissappointed you? Have they been good in the community? Do you think they have potential to stick around for a while? etc. etc....
Thanks!
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

it pretty much can be summed up like this
Kruger: we thought he was a disappointment, but it turns out he just needed a year or two to properly develop. he’s played really well this season and has become an important part of our defense
Reed: we like him but honestly this kid just can’t stay healthy. if he keeps getting injured eventually he’s going to be released or cut in favor of someone who CAN stay healthy
Defense wins championships
David Reed – has been a good kick returner matter of fact he may become the best kickreturner the ravens ever but he hasnt seen much time on offense but the coaches have said he is one the most talented wideout on the team. I dont think David Reed has disappointed any one so far and plus its only his second year as a ravens but he needs to stay healthy.
Paul Krugar- He wasnt great for his first two years but he wasnt bad either. In third year which is right now Krugar has been very impressive and has made plays. I think Krugar could become a starter in the future also he has is own charity foundation but im not sure if he does it in batimore or his home town
best ravens kick returner ever?
No way. Jermaine Lewis will be hard to dethrone there.

Jermaine was much more of a punt returner.
Im pretty sure he only had one TD as a kickoff return man. Granted it was in the Super Bowl to seal the game, but I still think of him as a more prolific punt returner than kickoff returner.
They say the empty can rattles the most...
David Reed: Was thought to be a very good returner, but has struggled in that area a bit this year. Started off strong, but now he just gets tackled at the 16 every time. Hasn’t done anything basically at WR. We will see how long he is here, but he is a fan favorite that alot of people want to see do well. He has always been a training camp and OTA standout, or at least last year he was.
Paul Kruger: Finally starting to live up to the 2nd round pick we used on him. He got off to a very, very rough start in his first two year with him not playing special teams as a rookie, then trying to have him bulk up 15-20 pounds and play the 3-4 DE position, which failed miserably. Now we have finally realized that his strength is at the 4-3 DE position on 3rd downs. 3 sacks on the year already is probably more than most of us fans expected from him all season.
Flacco has to trust his receivers to make catches, but shouldn’t throw towards coverage. He needs to attack deep more often, but shouldn’t hold onto the ball so long. He needs to show more awareness in the pocket and move to extend plays, but nothing good comes of him leaving the pocket. He should run with the ball if nobody’s open, but he definitely can’t run with the ball.
Flacco should have the awareness of Roethlisberger, the elusiveness of Vick, the control of the offense of Manning, the leadership of Brady, the accuracy of Brees, and the arm strength of … Flacco? - Ampallang
Two sacks against AZ too. He may just be starting to come on.

Arizona has the worst starting tackle combination in the NFL. He may just have had a career day against the worst set of tackles in the league. Arizona can’t pass protect worth a damn.

(All kidding aside, I do have mad respect for CERT at C-M; but you did not hear that from me on a Ravens blog)

Kruger is fast becoming a pass rush specialist
and in on the QB a lot with good athletic skills, speed and moves. D. Reed is disappointing, rarey breaks it past the 20 an if you takeaway one TD return and perhaps one decent other kickoff return, he has been an injury away from ending his NFL career, IMO.

Get it Right
It is “He Hate Me” or “It rubs the lotion on its skin”. “It hates” doesn’t compute.. :)
