Ravens Injury Report: Thursday
The picture will get a lot clearer after the Baltimore Ravens release their Friday Injury Report & Game Status later today. In the meantime, here is the update from Thursday's practice. While the names on the list of those Ravens players not participating yesterday may be alarming, do not read too much into it as should definitely change for some of those listed.
Not practicing yesterday were safety Ed Reed (shoulder), OLB Terrell Suggs (knee) and RB Anthony Allen (thigh). Limited participants included LB Brendon Ayanbadejo (head), LB Dannell Ellerbe (thigh), WR Lee Evans (ankle) and TE Kris Wilson (calf). Center Matt Birk fully participated after not participating at all on Wednesday.
For the Seattle Seahawks, LB David Vobora (concussion) was the only player not participating, while limited participants included WR Sidney Rice (foot) and TE Cameron Morrah (toe, knee). QB Tarvaris Jackson (pectoral) was a full participant, despite being limited on Wednesday.

great to see this injury report. At least this looks positive for Evans that if he’s not back this week he will be back next. Also nice to see no Grubbs at all and Ellerbe practicing again.
On Ed Reed:
"I’ve told him to his face many times, ‘You’re the greatest safety ever to play the game,’"
"We all learn from each other, but we all learn most from him."
- Troy Polamalu
What’s up with Suggs and Reed? They weren’t on the injury report earlier in the week…

Veteran rest day?
Harbs is known to do that, especially when a little dinged.

Terrell Suggs and Ed Reed sitting out yesterday was rest more than anything, Harbs said. Suggs: “If I can breath, I’m good.”
After Pittsburgh week, these rests are much needed.
Flacco has to trust his receivers to make catches, but shouldn’t throw towards coverage. He needs to attack deep more often, but shouldn’t hold onto the ball so long. He needs to show more awareness in the pocket and move to extend plays, but nothing good comes of him leaving the pocket. He should run with the ball if nobody’s open, but he definitely can’t run with the ball.
Flacco should have the awareness of Roethlisberger, the elusiveness of Vick, the control of the offense of Manning, the leadership of Brady, the accuracy of Brees, and the arm strength of … Flacco? - Ampallang

Doesn't sound like he's playing Sunday though
based on that comment. Sure would like to see him get some reps though.

I demand Lee Evans!
Still haven’t seen that guy play much at all, and am highly interested.

evans’ injury was a blessing… smith got first team practice reps and plenty of game action…. leading to a game-winner against the dirtiest, most overrated team in the NFL
now with evans coming back… speed on both sides… speed in the backfield… speed in the H, in the slot and the cannon-armed Mr Flacco in the shotgun.
game over.
My Dream play is still
Smith and Evans running go routes with Boldin and Dickson running Slant patterns with Rice running a delayed route. Seriously there is no way in hell you could stop that.
new nickname for Joe
I like Joe Cool and all, but what about Joe “the Gun” Flacco?
With two deep threats at his disposal a new era might be upon us!

Lee should play. Not alot but he should, so Flacco can get some familiarity with Lee before the Cinci game where its really going to matter.
Time to stop babying that ankle and earn his paycheck.
