If the Baltimore Ravens fulfill the dreams of their fans and make it to Indianapolis for Super Bowl XlVI, they will get to listen to Madonna perform live during halftime, as exclusively announced by SB Nation, despite no confirmation from the NFL.
Madonna was actually rumored to be doing the halftime show at Super Bowl 35, when the Ravens defeated the New York Giants, but reportedly backed out at the last minute, according to the story. She has been approached and targeted by Super Bowl organizers for years but for whatever reasons, they haven't been able to reach an agreement.
Madonna would join an "A" List of big names to headline the halftime extravaganzas over recent years, from last year's Black-Eyed Peas, Usher and Slash to The Who (2010), Bruce Springsteen (2009) and the infamous "wardrobe malfunction" featuring Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake (2004).
