Ravens-Jaguars Injury Report & Game Status
With the Baltimore Ravens playing at the Jacksonville Jaguars tomorrow on Monday Night Football, they release their injury report a day later than the teams playing on Sunday. Released yesterday through the team's media department, there is good news to report, although not all the injured players on the Ravens are ready to return to the field.
Rookie CB Jimmy Smith practiced most of the week and is listed as probable, which means he should finally get his feet wet for the first time in 2011 in the defensive backfield. With games at Jacksonville and then home hosting the Arizona Cardinals, it would be great to get Smith some experience before the Ravens head to Pittsburgh to face the Steelers in week nine.
Listed as out for the Ravens include guard Ben Grubbs (toe), WR Lee Evans (ankle), LB Dannell Ellerbe (thigh) and RB Anthony Allen (thigh). Safety Tom Zbikowski (head) is the only player listed as doubtful and CB Chris Carr (thigh) is the only one listed as questionable. The probable list , along with Jimmy Smith, includes LB Jarret Johnson (back) and David Reed (finger).

excited to get jimmy some reps
On Ed Reed:
"I’ve told him to his face many times, ‘You’re the greatest safety ever to play the game,’"
"We all learn from each other, but we all learn most from him."
- Troy Polamalu
Will he only come in on dime packages. If so I don’t think the Jags spread it like that.

Even if he gets listed as a dime back he'll get reps at the 1 and 2 CB spots.
He won’t start but he’ll be in the rotation for sure.
Probably once we are up 31-0 in the middle of the 3rd quarter, he will see some time…..along with Tyrod.
Flacco has to trust his receivers to make catches, but shouldn’t throw towards coverage. He needs to attack deep more often, but shouldn’t hold onto the ball so long. He needs to show more awareness in the pocket and move to extend plays, but nothing good comes of him leaving the pocket. He should run with the ball if nobody’s open, but he definitely can’t run with the ball.
Flacco should have the awareness of Roethlisberger, the elusiveness of Vick, the control of the offense of Manning, the leadership of Brady, the accuracy of Brees, and the arm strength of … Flacco? - Ampallang
We just need to bring him along slowley so he will be a stud in the playoffs
