According to the National Football Post NFL Power Rankings, the Baltimore Ravens are the fourth best team in the league, behind the Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints. Following the Ravens to round out the top ten are the Detroit Lions, San Diego Chargers, Buffalo Bills, Oakland Raiders, San Francisco 49ers and Pittsburgh Steelers. The 3-1 Washington Redskins are at #11, despite having one less lose than the Steelers and Raiders, both with 3-2 records yet ahead of the Redskins in the NFP Power Rankings.
Here's what they say about the #4 ranked Ravens:
The Ravens come off the bye to face the Texans in a game they should control along the line of scrimmage.
It's hard to argue the top two being the Packers and Patriots, although the Ravens defense would be a great match up for New England. The Saints at #3 might be a definite point of contention, although they barely lost to the Packers in Green Bay and could easily be at the top of the rankings. After the Ravens beat the Houston Texans as expected this Sunday, perhaps they will rise a bit in the standings, although none of the three teams in front of them in the rankings will be an underdog in their games.
