Apparently, I said if Baltimore scored thirty I'd buy this blog. Hope it is selling at a discount.
Congrats, Ravens and their fans. That was a display of a team that knows what the post-season is about, and a young team that doesn't get it yet.
Flacco was incredible. Early sacks/pressure didn't faze him, and Todd Heap lit KC up. Congrats.
As a Chiefs fan, I must say this one feels different. This wasn't a Chiefs team expected to go on a deep playoff run, and I liked their ability to match the intensity for a while. Even though it got dirty after plays late, I like to see that out of a Chiefs team. The defense, some SIXTY plays later, was still playing hard. They had to be exhausted. I hope to see the Chiefs back in the post-season soon, and believe I will.
Still, this game was all about the Ravens. Hats off. They owned the game second half, when it needs to get done. They blanketed the Chiefs wideouts... Bowe was entirely made absent, something I didn't think your corners could do. What else can I say? The far better team won this one.
I'll be rooting for Baltimore next Saturday.
