Here's how crazy I am
I didn’t even know it was league minimum and I was still deliriously happy. League Minimum? That’s crazy. Ozzie is the man.

It’s funny, Just yesterday I was telling the Bengals over at Cincy jungle just how good he was, and they were a little sceptical, I think this ought to convince them.

Oh I have no doubt Newsome is good at his game
Just I’m kind of a homer for the Lions as well and Mayhew is no slouch either.
+1
I’m completely off my rocker. I did however remember saying he’s a 3rd WR at this point in his career. The 10 personel package just got a little better. If he can keep his thoughts in house I’ll be fine. He still can play.
So excited
made a fanpost about this the other day and am really excited to see what else a player like TJ can bring to the table for us. He may not be at the top of his game still, but he still had something like 74 catches last year and can be a great slot receiver, certainly everything we though Stallworth would be
That exactly what Housh is now
It was a good fan post. I thought you were completely out of your mind. Shows what I know! Who goes down to the practice squad now?
IM SOO EXCITED
.. I was just talking to my friend about how the ravens dont have the balls to sign him. Then i wake up and ESPN says the ravens signed him. Im so ecstatic
This.
I’m excited to see what he does in his return, especially with the 2 beast corners on the outside.

Seriously?
Didn’t think we needed him. Didn’t want him. Guess David Reed now goes to PS.
If he helps us win – I’ll take it all back.
"What we've got here is failure to communicate."
Worst case scenario, he's gone when Stallworth comes back.
It’s the very definition of a win-win.
He does well, we’ve got one more offensive weapon. He gets a chance to build a case for a paycheck next year.
He doesn’t work out, he’s gone with Stallworth comes back, and the Ravens have paid very little.

Guess it depends on who gets cut
What we needed most at WR is speed and Hoosh is another possession-type receiver. Not sure how that changes our dynamic in the passing game very much.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE IT! Off to M&T for the Terps-Navy game!
AMAZING!!!

from a fantasy perspective, i’d think he’d have been better on a team like the skins or vikings, who need help more. but i’m stoked for it. this guy used to kill us.

WOW!
Now we get to terrorize the Bengals, Steelers and what’s their names, oh yeah, the Browns!
Agreed, didn’t see that coming, as Ozzie must have snuck in and offered TJ a chance to go the Super Bowl and beat his old team twice a year!

They're not, but that's what makes Brees such a great player.
No one receiver on that team is a true standout, all of them are targets for him. Anyone and anything is a receiving threat and you have to cover all of it.
PS-
Ravens add CB/S Bryan McCann and released CB Prince Miller yesterday. McCann was undrafted out of SMU, signed as a free agent by the Cowboys and led them in punt returns in pre season.
Hopefully, Miller will get on our PS.

I'm not too sure on that
Smith is a great Special Teams’ player. Perhaps Clayton is odd man out, or Reed goes Practice Squad?
aka 'Rexx'
I hope.
that Mason is still the #2 reciever because if he is not mason will be very upset and probably make a scene about it
No way he's not
He’s got the playbook down so much he could probably quote it in Latin. TJ’s damn lucky to be drawing a check this week, and he knows it. Game 1, Mason’s the solid #2.
"That's what I want to see tomorrow. Do we understand what the f--- I want to see tomorrow? Let's go eat a g-d d--n snack."- Rex Ryan
You know I kind of agree with this
The Mason can make a scene part. That Said, I don’t think TJ threatens Mason. Mason has greater straight-line speed and he quicker out of his breaks.
Example:
Week 7 of 2006 season against the Panthers. Mcnair gets knocked out, Steve Smith torches the secondary, Boller(!) leads a comeback with 2 TD passes to Clayton, DMase refuses to run routes on the final drive. I lost a lot of respect for him that day. Then again, he gained that plus more back against Dallas in ’08 when he played and caught passes with one arm….

older, slower and gonna take some good shots by linebackers…be lucky to make it a full season, unlike last year
DOes the term #3 receiver mean nothing to you? he’s not starting so he will be covered with weaker corners allowing him to shred secondaries.

I had mixed feelings at first, but I’m really starting to love this move. I especially love it because there is virtually no risk. He only signed a one year contract for the veteran minimum. Thank you, Seattle, for paying him to play for us. I’m starting to think that Ozzie planted a mole in the Seattle front office. Those guys have really helped us out.
Anyway, I hated Housh when he played for the Bengals, but the more I think about it… I realized that his style of play is exactly like the Ravens. He’s a tough, smash-mouth player and should fit right in. As long as he keeps his attitude in check, I cannot see any downside to his signing.
I think you will find
his attitude will be much more endearing now that he’s wearing purple.

That is perhaps the most ridiculous thing I have read all day.
"What we've got here is failure to communicate."
Kelley Washington
Played a vital role in this offense last year. He was one of Flacco’s most reliable third-down targets.
That being said, TJ wayyyy better.

As a Bengals fan
Be careful what you wish for, Housh WAS the cancer in our locker room, remember his press statements in Seattle? Any way, who can cover em…let’s see J-Joe, L Hall and A Jones with a lil M Trent…and for Heap, K Rivers…I like our chances…BTW, anyone see where we traded for Reggie Nelson from Jacksonville? yeah I said it, the division still goes through Cincy. Any guess on who’s gonna cover OUR wideouts??? didn’t think so, but like I said before if you guys make it farther than us, I’ll root my arse off for y’all like I usually have too;), good luck, xcept for against us and more importantly…good health.
Reggie Nelson doesn’t tackle and is bad in coverage. He was supposed to be Ed Reed coming out of Florida, but he’s not even got starter skills.
Housh was a cry baby on the field. I’m guessing he wasn’t the only player that was a problem in the locker room though.
The only skill player on your team I’m worried about is Benson. Your passing game hasn’t been in sink since like 2006.
The division is ours this year. Along with the SB.
Yeah, the road to the AFC north championship goes through a team who’s all time regular season record is 282-360-2. You sound like an infant. One good year makes you the cream of the crop? Yeah, you keep hanging on to that.

Alright… enough already. This cheesy trash-talking is making me sick.
Let’s just talk after week two. We’re not the ones getting nervous.
I'm honestly pretty calm.
The Bengals have a helluva CB trio that could rival the Jets and the Saints. I was worried Adam Jones would become Pacman Jones but he’s kept his nose clean thus far and has played really well. Signing another aging receiver to your team doesn’t really strike fear into my heart knowing these three are covering Housh, Mason, and Boldin.
The only thing on your team liable to kill us is Heap. The Bengals are crap when it comes to covering the TE, as evidenced by Dustin Keller.
He couldn’t handle D-Will.

But I guess that is silly. He does have the potential to become just as much to that offense as Housh was but until he does it, there’s no saying he will or won’t be it.
I’m excited for Gresham too and I think he has the potential to become one of the best in the league but until he does it, he’s not one of the best in the league.
