Ravens' Roster Cuts Trickling Out

As read in an earlier post, the Baltimore Ravens have decided that they will go with placekicker Billy Cindiff over Shayne Graham. In addition, rookie OT Ramon Harewood and WR David Reed have made the team. Unfortunately, along with Graham, rookie DB's Prince Miller and Brad Jones, Chris Hawkins, along with veteran CB Travis Fisher, TE Davon Drew and OT Devin Tyler have been let go.

For every cut made, that is one more guy that still has a chance to find a place on the teams 53 man roster. This story will update throughout the day until the final 53 man roster is complete. Leave any future cuts as comments and I will blend them into this story shortly.

Check out The National Football Post and our friend Aaron Wilson's'The Wilson Wire' for up to the minute breaking news on the Ravens' roster changes, as well as other teams around the league.

I know

sort of caught me off guard as he was decent in our weakness the pass rush. Good news as I said, for others on the bubble. Wonder what the draft pick could end up being?

it’s probably something that helps Hale get a job next year rather than screwing him right before the regular season. Really don't see much point to keeping Parmele around.

Ray, Wills and Le’Ron are all superb and to not include any one of those 3 would be stupid but Parmele is just depth and we don’t need more depth.

The 49er's cut Michael Robinson

We should cut Troy and sign Robinson. He can be our emergency third QB and would bring way more to the team then Troy.

He's a RB for the 49ers

But he was a QB for Penn State, like the guy Clark they have now, and while he is more in the RB mold he as QB skills.

the Colts want to re-sign Terry after 1st game but not guarantee him full 2010 salary, which is what they’d have to do if they kept him.

The Vested Veteran Game

Teams don’t want to be on the hook for an entire season’s salary, so they’ll but a lot of veterans today and then after Week 1 re-sign them and then the same rules for the younger guys apply to the older players.

Last year...

I would have said yes, but this year I think we’re set. Would you take Stokely over one of the young guys we’re keeping at the 3-6 range on the depth chart? His downfall here seemed to be that he was always hurt, we have the younger version of that in D-Will

Tomlin hates Dixon for some reason

I don’t know why but I’m happy that he does because I remember last year playing against him when Big Ben was out and he was a tough guy to defend, kinda like VY-lite.

This just occurred to me when I was watching the wavier wire, but does Nathan Vasher have anything left in thw tank? I remember him being solid in the past, but he kinda got buried behind the depth in San Diego.

Would he be worth a look?

From Mike Duffy's Twitter
Drew, Gerard, Harper, Hawkins, Jones, Mattison, McClellan, Reitz, Riley, TSmith, Steele, Tyler, DemWilliams, Fisher, Graham waived.

and

It’s official: Hale, Harewood, Rodgers, Talavou hit IR. Ed Reed goes to PUP.

Looks like we have our 53 man roster, at least for the moment.

by Christopher Atwood on Sep 4, 2010 4:38 PM EDT reply actions

Outside of those two

I’d say the rest weren’t a big surprise. I was figuring they’d put Harewood on IR because of his knee and so they could hang onto him because a guy with that athletic potential won’t make the PS.

Now the question is, will someone pick up T.Smith and/or D.Will?
