Ravens' Head Coach Harbaugh Named to NFL Competition Sub-Committee
Throughout my year-plus with media credentials for the Baltimore Ravens, many questions for Head Coach John Harbaugh focused on the rules of the game and how they were interpreted. Now, Coach Harbaugh will have a hand in determining the future of the rules in the NFL, as he was just named to the NFL's Competition Sub-Committee.
Going into his third year as head coach of the Ravens, this is a great honor and just an example of the way the owners and other coaches feel about Harbaugh's influence on the game. GM Ozzie Newsome has been a long-time member of the Competition Committee, which accepts recommendations from the sub-committee. Now the Ravens have input and representation on both levels of the committee.
Apparently, according to Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post, Harbaugh was invited to join the group by former NFL Head Coach and video game namesake John Madden, who heads the NFL Competition Sub-Committee.
