The Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Jared Gaither signed his restricted tender yesterday. The contract, for $2.396 million for 2010 comes before the June 15th deadline that would have allowed the team to sign him for only around $400,000, had he not signed by then.
Gaither was moved from left tackle to the right side in a switch of positions with second year player, Michael Oher. Reportedly, the team was trying to trade him and the Buffalo Bills seemed to be the most talked-about suitor. However, nothing has happened that we know about and unless something happens soon, expect to see Gaither protecting the right side of QB Joe Flacco with Oher on Joe's "blind side," forming one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.
