Ray Rice Raises Funds for Children's Hospital

BALTIMORE RAVENS RUNNING BACK TEAMS UP WITH STEINER SPORTS FOR "RAY RICE DAY" ON JUNE 12TH AT NEW ROCHELLE HIGH SCHOOL


NEW ROCHELLE – Steiner Sports joins the Ray Rice Day brigade with an online auction that will benefit the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center. The auction is underway and will conclude until Sunday, June 20th, and features such compelling items as a Ray Rice signed football, Eli Manning signed helmet, signed photos, a party for 10 at a Last Licks location, and much more.  The auction can be found by logging on to auction.steinersports.com and clicking the "Ray Rice Charity" link on the left menu. All proceeds will go towards the children’s hospital.Children grades 3 to 8 will have the chance to play with the pros on "Ray Rice Day" at New Rochelle High School on June 12th as Rice and other NFL stars will be on hand to offer free advice from 9 AM to 4 PM on McKenna Field.
Fellow Ravens stars Joe Flacco and Michael Oher; former Rutgers standout twins Devin and Jason McCourty of the New England Patriots and Tennessee Titans, respectively; James Ihedigbo of the New York Jets; Courtney Greene of the Jacksonville Jaguars; and the NBA’s CJ Miles of the Utah Jazz will all be on hand alongside Rice.

Interested parties are encouraged to pre-register for "Ray Rice Day," although walkups are allowed. Only the first 500 registered children grades 3 to 8 as of September 2010 will be given access to this free event that includes games, instruction, lunch, autographs and photos. Online registration is being held at www.lohud.com/rayriceday. Registration at the event will be from 8 AM to 9 AM.
