Ray Lewis Podcast
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis was featured on an ESPN Podcast today, hosted by Kevin Cowherd. The nine-plus minutes of the interviewed touched on questions about the breaking news about former New York Giants LB Lawrence Taylor's legal problems related to today's rape charge (Ray said he was on a plane and knew nothing about it). He was asked about the hype and news on Tim Tebow, how he recovers from games on Sundays after all these years and of course he pontificated on the life of a pro football player. Specifically, he spoke about how they are under a microscope, in the eyes of a camera somewhere, if not everywhere, but also that while he is a football star, he is also a father, son and family man a lot more than he is a football player.
Check it out here.

Always great to hear him speak
It is incredible what he said about recovering from a game. He was asked what he does to recover from those physical games on Sunday and what he does on Monday to recover. Ray’s response……….“Go into the weight room.”
He even said that after some of the 1pm games, he will hit the gym later that Sunday night possibly. Someone please try telling me this guy has taken a huge hit physically because of his age. Won’t be surprised if he plays till he is 40, I really wouldn’t. But once we win the Superbowl next year, him and Reed and retire if they like.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Its all about Flacco
Remember how the league had to invent the “sack” because of LT (not a great time to mention his name, but still…)
yeah, well the NFL is going to have to make a new award for “GREATEST HUMAN BEING TO EVER GRACE THE GRIDIRON” which will go to Joe Flacco every year until he’s 50. that will be 25 Ravens superbowl victories from now.

i love ray lewis
but, when you ask him a question, you never get the answer to that question.
"When you go in the lions den you don't tippy toe in, you carry a spear, you go in screaming like a banshee, you kick whatever doors in, and say, 'where's the son of a bitch. If you go in any other way your gonna lose." - Brian
Yeah but
he still says a lot, doesn’t he!? Make a great coach, preacher or motivational speaker.
aka 'Rexx'
depends on what you respond to
i hate guys talking to me the way ray lewis talks. he’d get me pumped before a game, but listening to him talk about life he just makes no connection with me. maybe i’m a sociopath.

i love his pregame speeches in the huddle
for example, 1 heart, 1 spirit, 1 mind, and together, we can do all things.
(or something like that) but most of the time i cant follow what exactly he is talking about, and i agree with jackmca, most of his speech makes no connection with me

Ray Lewis is on the money with this statement
A guest on ESPN Radio yesterday, Lewis was asked by host Colin Cowherd if he was shocked by how big the Tebow story became leading up to and during the draft.
"The thing I was more shocked by, is you see all the people who were willing to help him," Lewis responded. "I don’t know many people who were willing to help other athletes like that. Jon Gruden loved him to death. You see all these people who took out their personal time to really work with him and make this big issue, big issue, big issue.
"I don’t know why he was any different than anyone else. Every young child has that dream, that same dream that Tebow had. So I don’t know why he was bigger … than any of the other guys.
Lewis seemingly takes issue with the amount of special attention Tebow has received, but stopped short of saying he would be a target by players because of it.
"The target is always simple," Lewis said. "You play this game for one reason. You play this game to find people’s weaknesses. If he is going to be a target … basically he plays the quarterback position, so, from my position, the target is just hit him in the mouth and keep rolling."
Poor Tebow
Ray wants to punch him in the mouth. I am sure God would not like that.

if you sign up to play a sport that routinely results in getting concuss’d, can God really blame anybody for giving you what you signed up for???

Keaneau: “Yet.”
