Marlin Jackson to work-out for Ravens on Tuesday: Adam Schefter
Former Colts CB Marlin Jackson is scheduled to visit the Baltimore Ravens on Tuesday. Marlin, has put up 284 tackles, 0.5 sacks, and 4 INTs with his 5 year career with the Indianapolis Colts. This would definitely add some much needed depth to CB on the Raven's roster.

Yea, he reported this yesterday. Not so sure if it will happen or not.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
It will be good if it does, because he is probably better than Walker or Carr

Definitely better than those two. But has had two ACL surgeries in his career. That is the only worry.

Either way
He will be #3-4 in depth so it’s worth the risk. We need a better nickel player so he won’t get too injured if he plays nickel. And I really think he is going to get better if he is in a better defense such as the Ravens

THIS JUST IN
No need for all caps, we really don’t care anymore. Seattle is getting him, so why are you making a big deal about a rumor?

Marlin Jackson would be an upgrade
over Walker and Carr, plus an insurance policy for Webb’s return, much less Fabian’s. Jackson has practiced against the best QB in football (Saints fans may argue otherwise) for a few years now and can play physical, which is needed in the AFC North.
After Marlin Jackson, we can go get Jermaine, Tito and my favorite, Janet!

Working out Marlin Jackson can't hurt, no pun intended.
Leigh Bodden might be a little too expensive for the Ravens, but I’m holding out hope that the Ravens have interest. Another player, Stanford Routt would be an upgrade. I know he’s a Raider, but lol, he’s solid. Anybody know if the Redskins put a high tender on Carlos Rogers?
Bodden was a Brown
and no thanks for any former-Browns for me. Also, Carlos Rogers was rated one of the worst draft picks of all time, as he has not been good and wouldn’t be an upgrade for us as well. Keep away from anything related to both Cleveland and Washington.

Hypocrite
You forget we have Stallworth

But Stallworth really didn't play
much for Cleveland, did he?

Carlos Rogers, I can understand, but Leigh Bodden is actually a pretty good cornerback.
I’d take Bodden before Marlin Jackson.
We don't have the capability to sign bodden
We were a “top 8” team.

I'll take a corner who played for Indy
over one who played at Cleveland and Detroit (right?).

But I still say we bring in Lito Sheppard

We already lost one FA
So we could still sign him.
HogsHaven think Rogers was good this year. He's worth giving up a first round pick, so I'll pass.
Carlos Rogers: Loso statistically was a good defender against the run at 1.5. The amount of double-moves he got burned on this year didn’t hurt his stats as much as I thought they would. He played a total of 84% of the snaps this year, which is a lot more than I anticipated given his benchings. Either way, Carlos to me is a player that can still improve (off-season #3 I have said this).
My unsubstantiated Evaluation: Keep him. I don’t think many teams think highly of Carlos, yet he does so many things well. The days of over-paying are over, so offer Carlos a modest salary. If he wants to leave, fine, but he is a steady CB that can run tackle and defend the pass. The Redskins have too many holes to fix. Carlos can be a holdover until they have time to fix CB. I think the entire OTAs Carlos should be off to the side working with the 5th string QB who simply throws ball at Carlos as hard as he can from 15 yards out.
UPDATE
Hearing from a league source that Marlin Jackson’s knee ahead of schedule and expected to be ready by OTAs. Ravens visit, then Eagles.

Aren't there CB's out there that haven't torn their ACL twice?
Marlin Jackson is a former first rounder, but if he’s tearing his ACL in practice while going half speed, then he’s injury prone(second tear as well). I don’t want to waste a roster spot on another injury guy (LJ Smith).
I have no hopes for this guy really making an impact. Give me Carr and Walker being healthy all year over Jackson. Or just draft some SEC corner in the 5th round or later and develope him.
Jamal Lewis had two ACL tears too
and that was before his amazing 2,000 yard searson
So, you're saying some players aren't injury prone? It's a fluke when it happens once, twice...
There’s always one player that’s the exception.
Some players are just injury prone, and it sounds like Jackson is one of them. Give me a guy that’s going that’s going to be on the field 90% of the time instead of in the trainers office 90% of the time.
Injury prone: LJ Smith, Greg O’Den, The Clippers 1st round picks, J. D Drew, Mark Pryor, Bob Sanders, Brian Westbook, Donovan McNabb etc…
I'm not saying he isn't injury prone.
Just that tearing your ACL twice does not necessarily preclude you from being a productive player.
A lot of ACL tears in the NFL
In the old days, it was just players who had “blown out” their knees. Now it’s specifically ACL, MCL, PCL or meniscus tears. Surgery is even way different and better than when I had mine done 6 years ago and these guys spend 8 hours a day getting better. Jamal Lewis had it and then had a 2000 yard season. Don’t read too much into it if the guy is still young and it’s around a year later, as rehab takes a full year to get truly back to full speed and strength, which is why I’m worried about Webb’s return and why we need insurance that is top flight, not a hack like Walker.

Damn you Bruce
Sorry, I didn’t read your comment before I posted mine about Jamal Leiw. My fault.
