Gaither Staying, Gaither Going...

Everybody keeps talking about trading Gaither, what we could get for him; can we keep him?  Can we afford to keep him, etc?  I think most of you know where I fall in this argument.  I honestly believe it is a moot point as I do not believe Gaither is going anywhere, except to RT, for the 2010 season.

For a Draft Day trade I see the Ravens shipping Troy Smith.  Troy has publicly stated he does not want to be in Baltimore, he has won games as a starter in the NFL- there is real value in him.  I believe Beck has the trust of Cam to be the #2.

How about packaging our first round pick and Troy Smith to Oakland for Nnamdi Asomugha and Oakland's fourth round pick?  Sound crazy?  Would Al Davis go for it?  Am I asking too much of Oakland?  Am I giving too much away?  I cannot believe Nnamdi Asomugha wants to stay in the football graveyard that is Oakland.

If Nnamdi Asomugha is "off the table", could the Ravens get Oakland's third round pick reasonably?  Some other teams to consider for Troy's services: (Cleveland is out as they are in the same division) Panthers, Buccaneers, Bills, possibly Jaguars, Seahawks, Rams or Redskins; I do not believe 49ers or Vikings although Vikings have been known to do some chaotic player moves form time to time.  For one of thes eother teams, what is reasonable draft pick in return for Troy?

Is there a defensive player on one of the above mentioned teams or TE that we would want for Troy?
