Is this like the 6th time the Patriots have re-signed Faulk?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Something like that...

Transactions
Bryant got over-paid. I have a suspicion that the contract is front loaded ala Laveranues Coles and will allow the Bengals to dump Bryant if he puts up pedestrian numbers …… which is a real possibility.
The Bodden re-signing is critical to Patriots success as they could not afford to take a step backwards. It maybe the second best recent tranaction behind the Boldin signing with the Mason re-sign a close third. The frugal Patriots are great at allowing a player that are a little unsure about to shop himself and then use that market to their benefit.
The Browns are shopping Brady Quinn after cutting Derek Anderson and trading for Seneca Wallace. The Browns brass do not see Quinn as the long term answer in Cleveland. Look for teams to attempt to aquire Quinn on the cheap if an effort is made at all. What is Quinn’s market? Seneca Wallace could be the Browns starter opening day.
The Jamal Williams moved in an interesting one. Williams was once a dominant player in this league and his better days are clearly behind him. That said, 30 snaps a games for the Broncos at the most critical position in the 34 maybe be enough to justify his signing. You think the offensive coaches in Denver will have a conversation will Williams about the scheme in San Diego?
Quinn has no real market
The Browns played their hand when they said they’re shopping him. Teams that are interested in his services(if there are any) will just wait for his release. Why give up pick(s) and have to deal with his large rookie contract when he’s going to be realeased.
I with you
It makes no sense from a business standpoint. It’s amazing how many mistakes are being made this off-season when you look at the moves being made and the money being thrown out there at average performing players like Vanden Bocsh, Burleson and Bryant just to name a few.
You know Ozzie is sometimes critizied for being having tight lips. Rather have that than potentialy damaging your market for players no longer wanted.
