Ravens Re-sign WR Mason for Two More Years
The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed WR Derrick Mason for two more years. This almost surely guarantees that he will retire as a Baltimore Raven. This also gives Flacco a familiar face to go with including Stallworth and Boldin.
“This is outstanding, just great news for the Ravens,” coach John Harbaugh said. “Our coaches are happy. Derrick’s teammates are happy and you know Joe is smiling. … We would have lost something special if Derrick had gone to another team. We have gotten better in the last couple of days.”
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

For everyone
Now that we have re-signed Mason and might re-sign others, please make sure you correctly spell the word “re-sign” and not use “resign” which has an entirely different meaning. Not your grammar teacher but this is out there for everyone to see and we are on our way to a great month, with almost 30,000 visits and 50,000 page views in little over a third of te month already.
So please, use the word “re-sign” if we get someone under contract again and “resign” if they decide not retire. Capeesh, students? Thanks and now go do your homework and keep commenting and posting!

OK Internet police
I know there is a difference, but the internet is a lazy man’s paradise… otherwise I would argue with people in person. So when I use ellipses instead of properly ending and restarting sentences it’s because I’m lazy. Same goes for typing resign v re-sign…
Take it in context. The Ravens cannot resign Mase, they can cut/fire/terminate/etc him but not resign him. So unless the statement says “Mason Resigns” everyone should know the intent of that statement. Either way, no one should say “resign” (z sound) in reference to players becaue they generally are referred to as retiring, not resigning.
Also, if I have to type re-sign all the time, you will end up reading a lot of re0signs and re=signs and re[signs and so on..
Don't worry, ATX
That’s why I’m here, to not only point it out but to correct it if I see fit to edit, as I did for the headline and specifically that word, which just gets in my craw.

It's cool
I am a huge dick to people about proper use of articles and things of that nature.
When I hear someone say “a animal” or something like that I want to punch things.
That or if I read “Their/They’re/There” or “Your/Your’e” etc.
Everyone has something like that.
I can't stand the misuse of the word
“literal,” as in “I literally almost died out there!” Really, you almost died in a literal (written) sense? What?

Ok, so a lot of that drives me nuts.
Like when that jls guy called Q diminutive…
I don’t think he had any idea what it means.
Also,
You woudln’t be my Grammar Teacher… because grammar is in reference more to syntax and proper sentence structure etc and not definitions of words. Unless you meant like a Grammar School Teacher… in which case you are really dating yourself because who says Grammar School anymore?
Just busting you balls by the way... I'm bored at work
I meant it all in fun and silliness and in no way want to offend you cuz you’re a good guy,… and now that I posted the above I feel like it may be taken for douchiness instead.
No harm, no foul
You are correct about the grammar reference, and also about the “dating” myself, which I did a bunch of in high schools years.
