Boldin Press Conference Transcript

Read the entire transcript of yesterday's Press Conference when the Baltimore Ravens introduced newly acquired WR Anquan Boldin to the assembled media at the team's headquarters at One Winning Drive in Owings Mills.

Specifically, check out the 12th question after Boldin's opening statement, as this was the one I blurted out when I finally found an opening to get one out there to represent Baltimore Beatdown.

I found a video showing clips of the press conference on NFL.com

and they ended the video with your question, and his answer.

And I’ve seen a bunch of reports/articles written based off of your question alone. Way to represent the Beatdown Bruce!

Yeah, thanks!

I let all the main stream media ask the typically boring questions and then ask the ones us fans want to hear. It always seems to be the best way to get the player off of the cliche responses (“I’m glad to be here and want to help the team win in any way I can”) that we hear so much of.

Thanks for noticing. I also have two questions listed in the team’s 2009 Review book, which is 233 pages long. Alas, they give no credit to those who ask the great questions!

I hope Boldin can be as consistent on the field as he is with his answers

What was the deal maker for you in the end to choose Baltimore over other teams?

(BOLDIN) "Well for me,

In Arizona you had a guy like WR Larry Fitzgerald playing with you. What are your thoughts on being the more featured wide receiver here in Baltimore?

(BOLDIN) "Well for me,

How much pride do you take in blocking as a wide receiver?

(BOLDIN) "Well for me

A lot of people remember you as bouncing back from the hit by NY Jets S Eric Smith. What did it take for you to come back from that in just a few games, and does that play define your toughness?

(BOLDIN) "I think so. Well for me,

How specifically do you feel that you can make an impact on this offense? What are your goals for this season in terms of what you will bring to the table?

(BOLDIN) "Well, for me

It’s like the “bottom line” of this decade. The transition has begun.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
