Ray Rice needs to demand more MONEY.
I hate to say this, but it may be more so, than any other player since Emmit Smith sat out the first few games in the early 90's. I came across a link to the salaries of 2009 Ravens Salaries. It is laughable. Ray Rice may hurt his image a bit to pull this off, but what RIGHT IS RIGHT. There are only 2 ravens in my opinion that are worthy of more dough than RICE. Joe Flacco and Ray Lewis. Ravens management knows this, but do you think they are just going to give it to him. I think not. Check out the list and LAUGH WITH ME. The punter made more $ than Ray Rice. RAY RICE, GO GET YOUR DOUGH, YOUR ARE WORTH IT. http://www.sportscity.com/NFL/Baltimore-Ravens-Salaries

According to this list, Koch made greater salary than Haloti Ngata, Michael Oher and Dawan Landry. So not so sure what the big joke is here? We know Rice is going to get his money, but he was only in his second year of his rookie contract, which was not that much. Of course Rice is going to get his. And I hate to disagree with you, but Ray Lewis does not deserve more money than Ray Rice right now. Hope that clears it up for you.

Big Ray Deserves More than Little Ray
Right now. Rice has only played one meaningful year and he will have to earn that next big payday and is on the way to doing so. Lewis has earned his every day for the past 14 years and did so last year as well as he will do next year. Rice had a great year, but earn it over time, not just one season.

The joke is......
He has outplayed his salary. Time to Re-do his contract.
Aware of this
But the NFL just does not work like that. Just because he had a great year this year, which was his first, does not mean we should and will right away give him 30 million. He is going to have to wait.

Yeah
The NFL isn’t madden, you don’t resign a player to a 7-year 40mil contract after one good season.

Let Ray (Rice) get in line
there are a bunch of players on this team who’ve produced and are due for a big payday ahead of him. He’ll have to wait his turn and then be rewarded.

Why are you even thinking negative like this? Where did this idea of yours come from?

Sorry, not true
Rice has zero leverage after two years. No precedence and besides with the CBA in limbo, he will have no sympathy from the other players who now are going to miss out on FA.

Haloti Ngata
He has done more to deserve the big pay day than Ray Rice… I LOVE Ray Rice but he has had one good year. Give him 2 (at least) and then he can demand money…. No player (or at least no SMART player) demands a huge payday after one good season with no other season to judge his career on… Haloti Ngata will get a big pay day first

He deserves more than Ed Reed though?
Don’t get me wrong I’m a PRO-Ray Rice all the way please believe me but he deserves more than Ed? You left him off your list of folks.

Obviously he outplayed his contract, but you can’t just jump and say heres some millions. If we went out and payed everyone who out played their contract then there would be no money at all to spend on areas we need improvement.
That would only work if
they could adjust other contracts when players have an off year. Gee, pay for performance? What a novel idea! Think anyone would dog it if they all had one year deals based on specific scales for specific stats? Hmmmm,…what a Union-busting idea!
Baseball, are you listening?
aka 'Rexx'
Do you think baseball has bigger contracts and more money spent than the NFL? I think the Yankees alone equal probably 5-6 teams in the NFL.

Of course MLB is whacked!
EVERY contract is guaranteed for the entire contract as soon as it is signed. At least the NFL can release players and not be on the hook for the remainder of the contract like baseballl has to.

Definitely, A-rod probably makes more than some teams. I know he actually does make more than a few baseball teams whole rosters.
He doesn't make more in one year than any one team.
That is ludacris. His record deal he signed with the Rangers was 10years 252 million or so. That’s only 25 million a year which there is no way you could sign a 25 man roster for that much. With the league minimums that would be impossible.
But he dated Madonna
and cheated on his wife and took steroids…. (I’ll take him on my team any day, tho)

Anyone want to bet when Reggie Bush gets a side dish? I say before 2011.
How come white male athletes never cheat on their black girlfriends? Just sayin’. What up wit dat?
please give rice a brand new huge contract now
please let rice sit out for all of training camp
This guy snikin2 is on to something
"It was an attrition football game and you know we like that."
"The punter made more $ than Ray Rice."
This is laughable because obviously Sam has veteran status over Rice and has accomplished more. I don’t care if he’s just a punter. I don’t think you call a punter that booms punts like their kickoffs just a punter.
If Koch has such a strong leg
then why isn’t he kicking off like the punter does in Indy?
