Around SBN: How Not To Criticize Tom Brady For The Patriots' Loss

Antwan Barnes, and Chris Carr

Barnes has been really good lately he's making Fizzle look like he has steel in his cleats, and Chris Carr has been playing very well as well.  That PI penalty was total BS.  He didn't deserve to have that called on him.  IMO as long as all these backup guys keep steping up we'll be fine.   Barnes might have actually benefited from being deactivated for so many games.   He seems to have gotten refocused, and in good shape.  He's really really quick and fast off the Edge, and he's out playing our 70 million dollar man in the pass rush department.  He's not that big, so i doubt he can be a full time player vs the run, but so far he's been great in passing downs.  Carr is playing tighter coverage, and he seems to have gotten comfortable in his starting role.    Its exciting to see these guys step up, just giving them their props.

Agree 100%

and pleasantly surprised by the play of Carr. He’s looking alot better on punt returns too!

But then look how well Parmale has done on kickoffs

He’s just a RB and has taken that position over with great success, not only fast but big and obviously tough to bring down. Has he gotten less than 30 yards on each kickoff since he started? I don’t think so.

Agreed, Parmele is definitely the answer

on KR. He, imo, looked very good in pre-season. Very shifty and hard to bring down. I think on any other club, he’s their Ray Rice.

Yep. Carr is a passionate player and willing to HIT bigger guys. Foxworth shy’s away from contact. Barnes has provided more rush than Suggs has the entire year…AND HE"S NOT always being double teamed Bruce.

Hopefully, they'll let them play in the playoffs

and not call those ticky-tack penalties like Carr’s. Walker is another story altogether.

Any chance we can plant some hair gel or something on Walker

so he doesn’t get through the TSA and make the plane? Just asking…

Key to the New Engkand game: Haloti Ngata

Tom Brady can’t handle pressure up the middle, and if Ngata can push the line back just enough, we could see some mistakes.

I’d love to see Ngata get a pay back for the lame hands to the face.

I hear Brady is meeting withthe officials

to let them know what when and where to throw the flags. I also heard to cut out the middle man, they are just giving him a yellow flag to tuck into his pants to throw whenever he wants.

I heard he was just gonna wear yellow pants-

of maybe that’s for another reason…

Carr

Took him a while to get acclimated, but I think he is looking very good. Solid as a #3 CB. Unfortunately we have to start him right now. But well worth the money. I was very proud of our boys going a whole game without a real PI call. The one on Carr was 100% BS, if you saw it you clearly would agree. Mason gets hit 6 times a game worse than that and they rarely call it. His timing was perfect. They called him cuz the WR got knocked sideways, but the contact was clearly legal. But I digress. Anyways bottom line. Carr looking good!

Yep…Carrs foul was a terrible call and could have been HUGE. The refs need to cool it with the game changing ticky tack calls. Hurts the game in general.

Yeah, but you've gotta remember the motto of the NFL

“Nothing that hurts Baltimore hurts the game.”

Carr

I do agree he has played a lot better, but I just wish we could find a different punt returner. it seems like he either fair catches or gets only a few yards. Field position will be huge in this game. Can parmale return punts?

Parmele looks like the real deal. Is he related to the old Miami running back?
