Same Old Story

How about some real changes at Balto?  New receivers, and a QB that has some passion.  To see everyone play their heart out and to have a "Team - Leader"  go quietly and non-chalantly around is frustrating.  Fight for your team!!!

Why did we trade Matt Stover? Defensive back quality has certainly improved....but it is frustrating to watch a team I love go down again....doing the same things. I hope the Ravens get some great off season pick-ups for offense.

Nevertheless...a good season.  Let's get to the next level!!

Tonight was the Baltimore we all know and love.

amazing how cam never changes. he’s a dope. he never throws deep, never spreads the field and doesn’t know how to play to win. we’ll never know if guys are good because they never get the ball with any kind of rythem. rice rice rice rice. take rice out and cams exposed. cam had the nerve to say flacco will be great! lol. under who? the guy who trusts him to throw 4 yarders down by 17.

Raven may be right

Im tired of both Cam and Flacco. Cam play calling is terrible and Flacco decision making is just F*cked. Look for Mason, if hes covered, dump it to Ray. Never goes through his progressions and also holds on to the ball way to long. These things must be corrected or I say give Troy a chance to compete for the starting gig. At least he can scrample and buy time. Also, Cam must go. Please Buffalo, sign him as your Head coach. I’d rather have Billick as our OC.

FEAR THE NEVERMORE DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all

we didn’t “trade” Matt Stover, we released him and he was nowhere near the reason we lost and they won.

Lol, the first thing my dad says to me when I wake up is “I am tired of Flacco, trade his ass tomorrow.”

Some people think I’m being mean about Flacco. It’s a sport and I’m a fan. That’s it. I have players I think are good and some I think won’t pan out. I simply think Flacco is gving all he can and that’s it. I want this team to win against the good teams and we don’t without the other team making a lot of turnovers. We always need help.

Can't idsagree w/ raven

It’s beginning t look like Flacco may not be able to get to the next level. I realize that he’s only a 2nd year kid but I’ve seen little, no or negative progression this season, especially against better teams.

DAMN.. someone that see's what I see

FLACCO is not the QB for this team.. maybe a great back-up, but not the leader. We need someone with conviction to the team. This team needs to stop doing it halfway and hoping for a miracle…. develop a worthwhile team.

Sterting to remind me of

Cleveland’s Derek Anderson: Tall, slow, big arm, limited vision, etc.

LOL. Be careful on here. All the Flacco lovers will cry. They throw fits if you turn down the kool-aid.

by raven on Jan 17, 2010 7:46 PM EST reply actions

I think you and me can agree raven that Flacco is the QB for this team.

And honestly, I think he is only because we really do not have any other choice at this moment. Do we see flashes of greatness in him, occasionally. But it makes no sense at all to just dump him already and start over with another rookie or some washed up veteran. Does Joe need to pick up his game? Hell yes he does. Is he the QB of the future for this team? Absolutely.

Lets look back

After the first 3 weeks everyone of you guys were on Flacco’s ball sack. We were 3-0 you all were talking about the Superbowl and how Flacco was the answer. Now fastforward 15 weeks you want to hang thhe guy by his manhood.
In my opinion he is the answer along with Rice they are both young and work hard at trying to get better.

by section117 on Jan 17, 2010 8:56 PM EST reply actions

He is definitely the answer

But after 5 playoff games, there is no excuse that we should not have seen vast improvements from him in those games.

Agreed

we also need better play calling

by section117 on Jan 17, 2010 9:07 PM EST reply actions

Enough with the playcalling!

It’s the execution and if it was getting done on the field, the coaches would get the credit. Since the players are not doing it, the players get the pass and the coaches get the blame!

by Bruce Raffel on Jan 18, 2010 9:12 AM EST up reply actions

Flacco is the man.

Don’t be foolish, and think otherwise. If you want someone with a big ego, a big mouth, and a strong arm, go lure Jeff George out of retirement. Yeah, a real winner……ol’ I mean whinner..

by Johnny Raven on Jan 17, 2010 9:37 PM EST reply actions

Joe needs better coaching, playcalling, and a REAL deep threat receiver.

by Johnny Raven on Jan 17, 2010 9:45 PM EST reply actions

I agree he should have been able to perform better then he has, but i’m on the fence whether to really put it all on him or not. We just need to go out get that receiver then we can all agree there’s no excuse for him then.

by AV23 on Jan 17, 2010 10:17 PM EST reply actions

Then can we agree

that if we get a big name receiver and Joe is the same guy with him, then perhaps Joe is not the future?

aka 'Rexx'

by Bruce Raffel on Jan 18, 2010 9:12 AM EST reply actions

I would definitely agree with that. The 3rd year is when QB’s really make that leap and show if they can be a legitimate starter. We have the run game that teams are forced to respect which leaves our receivers at times single covered. If we have that #1 and he can’t find anybody, then lets hope we can find someone who can.
