Madden 10 Simulation

Whats good Beatdown? I ran a simulation game on Madden 10 for the upcoming game between the Pats and the Ravens. Here were the results.

Star-divide

The New England Patriots open up the game with the ball 1st. Baltimore defense came out swing with an early sack on Brady for a lost of 5. The Ravens forced a quick three & out. After a punt return by Carr to the Bal 35, Joe Flacco lead the Ravens down to the N.E. 25 yard line where the drive stalled. Baltimore settled for a FG which was good. Bal. up 3-0 with 11:40 left in Q1. After a nice kick retun by rookie WR B.Tate, N.E. started their drive at Bal. 49. The Patriots offense started to get into a rthyem and were able to drive all the way into the 20 yard line, but The Ravens D stiffened up and forced a FG attempt. Gostkowski connected on a 10 yard FG which tied the game, 3-3 with 6:44 remaining in Q1. After a three & out by Baltimore, New England got the ball back on their 20. Tom Brady lead N.E. down to the 50 before the quarter ended.

Now in Q2, Brady countines to lead the Pats all the way down to the 2 yard line where he punchs it in with a 2 yard run. N.E. up 10-3 with 13:34 remaining. After a Kneel down in the end zone, Ray Rice begins to emerge as he breaks off a nice 25 yard run. Flacco then takes over as he completes passes to several different recievers on his way to a two yard strike to Todd Heap for a TD. Baltimore ties it up 10-10 with 11:12 remaining. The Patriots come marching right back as they work the field and get down to the Ravens 28 yard line. Gostkowski nails another one threw which put N.E. back on top 13-10 with 7:24 left in Q2. After consecutive 3 and outs from both the Ravens and the Patriots, Baltimore's offense was able to move the ball down into the goaline of the Pats. Wills Mcgahee then punchs it in for a 2 yard TD which put Baltimore ahead 17-13 with 1:04 left in the half. (Halftime)

Baltimore Recieved the ball 1st after the half and go 3&out quickly and are forced to punt. The Patriots offense begin to march back down the field again. Looking to score the go ahead TD, Brady is sacked by T-sizzle and Baltimore recovers. After the turnover, the Ravens show why they are the hottest 3rd quarter team in the league as Joe Flacco Connects on a 60 yard bomb to Mason for the TD! Ravens increase their lead, 24-13 with 11:07 left in the 3rd. After a touchback, Brady begins to get in rythem again as he drives the Pats. down into the Redzone. Brady then hooked up with Randy Moss for a 2 yard TD. and cut the lead down to 24-20 Ravens with 6:07 remaining. After a few punts from both teams, the Patriots were able to muster up some offense and kick a FG at the end of the 3rd to cut the lead once again. 24-23 Ravens going into the 4th.

Baltimore begins the 4th with possession of the ball and with great field postion after a 45 yard KR by Jalen Parmele. Joe Flacco and the Ravens offense start out the drive well and wind up in FG range only to have Billy Cundiff miss from 45 yards out. The patroits waste little time using the great field postion they recieved from the miss FG. Leading his team into the redzone, Brady throws his 2nd touchdown pass to Sam Akien. After a failed 2 point converstion try, Pats. are up 29-24 with 13.34 remaining in the game. Both team defenses tighten up as they froce numerous 3&outs, the biggest coming from the Baltimore defense to give the Ravens the ball back at their 35 yard line with 3:34 remaining in the game. Ray Rice shows up huge on this drive as Joe Flacco hits him with a screen pass that he takes 65 yards for the TD!  After a 2 yard run by McClain for the 2 pointer, the Ravens lead 32-29 with 2:21 remaining. After another touchback, The Pats once again march down the field into Ravens territory. With 35 seconds left in the game, The Ball hawk Ed Reed makes one of the biggest plays of his carrer as he picks off a Brady pass inteded for rookie WR Julian Edelman and seals the victory for the Ravens! Final score works for me

but to expect 44 passes from Flacco, 29 runs from Rice and 16 from Willis, for a total of 89 plays? Thant might be an NFL record as most times the plays from scrimmage end up around 60-70, not 90!

Ed Reed making the game winning pick. It’s great but I don’t see flacco throing for 300 in this one. Hey, thats why it’s Madden, right? lol

I played this game about 20 times already this week. I won everytime.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
