Jermaine Gresham Out for Year for OU
via s3.amazonaws.com
Gresham is the star senior tight end for the Sooners, who elected to spend another year in Norman,OK, rather then enter last years NFL draft, where he would have been a 1st round pick. How does this relate to the Ravens?
He caught 66 passes for 950 yards and 14 touchdowns last season as Sam Bradford's top target. I've mentioned before how lucky we would be to have the opportunity to draft Gresham to be our TE of the future, but also acknowledged that he was very likely to be gone by our likely pick, #32, in next years draft. Now that he is out for the entire season (5 months), we might have the chance to select him if he declines to use his red shirt year and come back as a fifth year senior. If he shows no lagging concerns from this injury by the combine, I'd be all for making him our top selection next season, and our starting TE and Joe's red zone target for the foreseeable future.

You wanted him to come out in this draft
and wanted the Ravens to grab him. He would have been a first round pick, now where will he go will be the big question as he recovers. Combined w/ QB Sam Bradofrd’s injury, the Sooners go from a BCS Championship Game candidate to looking at even making the Big 12 Championship Game. Ouch!
Damn you BYU!

Wow!
The year?!? I was hearing just yesterday that he was getting arthroscopic done this week and it would not be too long. This may drop him to a late 2nd or mid 3rd now. Or maybe it will be a McGahee like deal where they know already what he can do and a team will give him the chance.
IMO, worth the risk of a 2nd or 3rd. His surgery is not to fix a tear or anything serious like many others have had, but to simply clean up his knee. I bet he could play after some time before the season ends, but coaches do not want to aggravate it more which could risk his whole career in the NFL.
I really want Dez Bryant, WR from Okla. State or Julio Jones, WR from Bama. Both those guys are huge and can really ball.

Dez Bryant
was the best WR in college last year, not Crabtree. He will be long gone and we’ll never trade up for him.

Of course we won’t. We will go after “depth” instead of play makers. Can’t wait till Harper is our number 2!!!
