Ravens @ Chargers: Clueless Media's Picks

In today's game between the Baltimore Ravens at the San Diego Chargers, the local and national media have made their picks. While you can give a pass to the clueless national guys who have no idea about our Ravens and only read the general information about the teams, the local guys have full access, yet seem to be as clueless as some of the national guys.

Here is a list of the local and national guys who are picking the Chargers to beat the Ravens today:

Local: Mark Viviano, Jamison Hensley, Edward Lee

National: Mike Golic, Merrill Hoge, Adam Schefter, Keyshawn Johnson, Cris Carter, Madden 10, Accuscore (ESPN)

Remember these guys and if you get the chance to slam them after the Ravens win, go find them and let them know how clueless they are about our Ravens!

The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

Viviano, Hensley and Lee

will now all come up with excuses why they didn’t pick the Ravens and try to bad mouth them on the problems we had even while winning. Watch, they are among the worst and such a clique at Training Camp for no apparent reason. All, except Viviano, who is a good guy and talks to anyone.

Hope they all go on welfare

Only things the sun paper is good for is eating crabs on and for your puppy to piss and dump on.

Worst of all

Hensley picked us to get rolled 24-10. He should be fired for not knowing the team well.

The sad part is that because of the performance of our secondary yesterday, those sun queers are going to pick us to lose more often against pass heavy teams. Even when we win next week and if NE loses, 3/4 of those idiots will pick us to lose 28-13 and still believe that this offense is living in the Billick era.

Not neccesarily

We now have the ability to win shootouts, like we did yesterday. The writers better adjust accordingly.

It reminds me of the scene in Happy Gilmore, where Happy is playing Shooter McGavin in the tour championship. He had been practicing putting at the mini golf place with Chubbs since up to that point he was a one dimensional golfer, with monster drives, and an awful short game. He shockingly drills a long putt and turns to Shooter…,“Uh Oh, Happy learned to putt.”

I feel like Harbaugh should say…,“Uh, Oh, The Ravens learned to pass,” to the rest of the league.

The NFL is officially on notice. These aren’t Brian Billick’s Ravens.

I agree

And I think the Sun writers are still in the Billick era. But you know from now on that each one of their stories is going to have a great deal dedicated to being scared of passing teams like NE, Indy, and the rest. Guarantee these same guys pick us to lose to NE if they are 1-2 and we are 3-0 and will pick us to lose to Indy at home.

Me and your bro were actually quoting Happy Gilmore all day during the game yesterday. “Hey Shooter, wanna go to Sizzler?!? My treat!”

Watch The Sun's predictions all season

Lose to Indy, NE, Pittsburgh, GB, Minnesota, beat all the others. Wow, such talent there!

You know whats said though

The Steelers, Pats and Eagles are most likely all going to be ranked above us in the ESPN Power Rankings. They all sit at 1-1. I think we will move from 10 to 8 at the most. With at least 3 teams at 1-1 ahead of us.

Wrong

We are #1 in ESPN. Not sure why you thought we’d be 8, I was sure we’d be top 3. Like I said before the Chargers game… a win and the national media will be all over the Ravens bandwagon.

Surprise!

Even I didn’t put us at #1. Now I’m looking like the negative guy! I only had us 4th, behind the Saints, Vikes and Giants, but #1 in the AFC.

I had us at 7th. And its not because I think we are 7th, I just thought the media will always put the Pats and Steelers above us, especially after we gave up so many yards to the Chargers. I was not expecting the media to jump on the OFFENSIVE bandwagon this quickly.

I thought this because of last week and last year, how they ranked us. Last year, we had winning records at times and teams with .500 records or worse were still ranked ahead of us. Last week, we were 1-0 and the Titans at 0-1 were ranked ahead of us. My statement was based on the media hate of the Ravens.

I am in shock that they would rank the Colts, Saints and Giants below us. That truly shocks me with the media love that those teams get. Those poor 49ers, 13th and they are 2-0.

Surprised at Steelers ranking

they barely beat the 0-2 Titans then lost to a relaively weak Bears team, but still get to ride the coattails of LAST year’s SB title? Also, tough not to put the saints on top, as they obliterated the Eagles in Philly! The Giants won two division games, one in Dallas and should be up there. I think, honestly and objectively, that both the Saints and the Giants should be above us for now, and the Vikings just below us. I might keep the Steelrs in the top ten, but not ahead of the Falcons or the Jets or the Colts.
