YAhhoooo. I’ve had two icey coldies on my deck with some UNO’s za. 2 pizzas for $13 and an 18 pack of Busch Light $10. what’s the stadium price again? i will figure out how to sneak a 12 pack in this year. i have a few ideas:
1. find isolated spot by fence and have friend stand over sack of beer. enter stadium go over to friend by fence and pretend to tie shoe and pull beer through fence. run.
2. wear a Coke delivery guy outfit (not Michael Irvins) and wheel 5 cases on a dolley through the VIP entrance.
3. Spinal holster (in development) they can hold 6. they never search the spine.
4. rolled up sports page can hold 3 beers.
5. crotch flask is still #1 for Captain Morgan.
5.
this is baltimore we're talking about
so i can’t blame ownership for wanting some bad @zz dudes standing around.
well, the stories are great but all the f’n pictures are bogging down my Tandy!!! If I have to click through one more flippin error message to get through all the pictures I’ll pass out. i hope he realizes it takes my 20 minutes to log in and get past the front page downloads. i see the top of a helmet and have top guess which player will pop up. slowly he’s revealed. ahhhhh, another Gano shot. i waited 20 minutes for a Gano shot. DRINK YOUR OVELTINE.
Reporting from my iPhone at m&t. Just sat in our seats and got a 16 ounce heiniken for 8.75 when a 12 ounce bud light is 7.50. Better quality and more quantity for only 1.25 more. Nice work biaciotti

Flacco looks pretty
comfortable. Can’t overlook that the Redskins have a pretty good defense. No mistakes really on the offense. Good use of the check downs and the quick slant passes…

all of my “I Can’t Believe its Not Butter: Spray” is missing and there are cleat-tracks in my walk-in fridge.
Great to see the...
the receivers doing their part to prevent a QB controversy by refusing to catch for Troy as well….

Ravens ball
Redskin’s receiver coughs up the ball. DE Landry with the recovery. Less that 2 minutes left in the half. Sorry, I don’t know who is broadcasting the game…

I think bisciotto dropped some money on improving the bathrooms. The urinal cakes smell extra good today especially after a td. That Troy smith sure is bum isn’t he beatdown guys? More from mr malors live report from m&t. Spent 48 dollars so far on beer and one hot dog

Lots of penalties
but Troy is just on fire and the receivers are actually….making catches… I am starting to get rather loopy as I had surgery on both feet yesterday and my pills are catching up with me…
drive finally stalls deep in Redskins territory.

Florida State rookie with what looks like about a 30 yarder. Couldn’t really tell as the TV is getting fuzzy. 16-0.

I would like to press my idea again...
that after each successful Gano field goal, Jack Lord appears on the big screen, does his catch phrase from “Hawaii 5-0” and the theme music starts blasting in the stadium.

My take:
Harper is a laisy route runner and his on again off again attitude will drive us nuts. He also doesn’t look for the open space. Great physical specimen but man he is so unpolished.
Washington finds the slot well. Best #3 so far.
Marcus Smith needs to catch that. Looks like Special Teams duty hurt him..really.
Troy Smith is great and we beat Pitt. with him. Just like changing pitchers why not change QB’s in football to match the threat. We need his escape ability against Pitt and NE.
Ray Rice needs the ball on the long side of the field not dunked to in traffic. Might be difficult for Joe throwing from 6’5" to 5’7" in traffic. I’d like to see Troy and Rice rolling out.
Nakamura is bold
I like Cam allowing Smith to air it out. His passes are terrific and dropped at least 5 times. Harper gives up in the slot. He’s a Travis Taylor there. Said that a week ago.
Parmele getting too much of a look.
Troy looks fantastic...
that said, Flacco put plenty of ball in place that the receivers just out right dropped. Plus, he had only two series to work with. What has really impressed me is Troy’s decision making. He’s scrambling but not doing stupid stuff.
I just can’t wait to hear all the “QB controversy” on the radio during my drive to work tomorrow.

I am also enjoying
what I am seeing on defense. They are still aggressive on 3rd but not with wild abandon. I still miss Rex though….

Well thats the game
last second attempt for Gano ends in a miss but it looked like a bad hold. 23-0 over the Redskins. The Offensive line had quite a few penalties, the receivers were down right frustrating at times. However, all three QB’s threw for over 100 years (although Troy had to re-enter the game in the forth indicating a possible injury). The defense looked pretty damn good and Oher…well that was one hell of a pancake..just need a stronger chin strap. Hope all you cats that had tickets enjoyed the game.

if preseason games don’t mean anything why run out the clock at the end without throwing to the end zone. announcers and coaches are stupid at times. the game doesn’t mean anything but we don’t want to run up the score and hurt their feelings? if it doesn’t mean anything who cares if you pass on 3rd and long with a few seconds left. i guess it means something. confused. why is kicking for 3 points any better than passing for 6? does 3 more points make it worse and the game men something? there are receivers who need the looks just as much as Gano. right? doesn’t that mean anything? LOL.
I think the big issue
was the Ravens are trying to put pressure on the kickers to find which one will crack. I hate to say this but over the years, Matt Stover has been much more important to the team than any one receiver. Huge, huge cleats to fill. Either way, going for three or six, at least they didn’t take a knee and used the opportunity.

We have a great backup QB.
Lets enjoy him before he gets a chance to start somewhere next year. I went from hating our QB situation to loving it in a matter of 3 years.
Yeah...
like what the hell? When did we get three serviceable QB’s? Its not like the Redskins are slouches on defense.

Receiver Depth Chart Round 1:
Mason, Clayton (?), Washington (lucky everyone else stunk but looks good in the slant), Foster (quick hands and finds the open space/smart/not real fast/Clayton II)
Disappointments- Marcus Smith (catch the ball!), Harper (Travis Taylor 2nd coming)
Raven Material- Fein, Kruger (although gushed over a little too much for average play tonight)
Bum Sighting- Suggs signing huge deal with bad shoulder and bragging about missing training camp. for that money he better start being a roll model.
Whiffers- McLeen and the Lb’s need to learn how to sack a flippin QB. We still run by and arm tackle. Ben’s drooling.
Just got back from the game
Man, that was so much fun. The beer was expensive, but it was cold and tasty. Saw a nice fight about 10 rows behind me.
Team looked good. I will write up a recap early tomorrow since Bruce is out of the country. I run this blog while he is gone!

Lol. The Steelers blog had over 1000! For a freaking preseason game. You can tell those guys have very little in their life but the Steelers.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Just got back
from the game. Justin Harper really let me down, it looks like its Kelley Washingtons job to lose, and he only had 2 receptions. But his attitude is great, and LJ Smith gave us a really nice gain. Beautiful stuff, beating the Deadskins 23-0 is a great feeling. Pre-season or not.
Scott Hines
Harper has his ups and downs. But were you expecting him to just shine right away? Probably not. He made his mistakes, but he made good plays as well.
Its only the first preseason game and I do not think anyone here should be dissappointed already.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Not shine.
Just catch the ball when its in your hands, you know. But I guess he wasnt alone with dropped balls, its all good. We still put up 500 offensive yards! And pitched a shutout. Talk about a good game. T-Good’s dpeed was showing, he was all over the field. And Barnes looks very solid.

Not Good..
"It looks serious," coach John Harbaugh said. "We’re not sure what it is right now but it could be an ACL."

Honestly.
Why would anyone drink Busch Light if you’re spending that kinda money on beer? I shouldn’t have to tell anyone here that Natty Boh is the only way to go. Tastes better, reps your town better and fuck, it’s just awesomer.
Hey Ravens Fans...
I come in peace!
Just wanted to say congrats on the shut out. I didn’t get to see too much of the game, but everything I’ve read sounds like you’re looking good. I’m not an ill-wisher at all. I love competition, and as far as I can tell, we are eachother’s best competition. I hope the rest of your pre-season goes smoothly, and I look forward to (at least) 2 unbelievably tough games against you come the regular season. I heard Marcus Smith did get hurt, and I hope it is not as serious as it sounds. The word is he had a real chance at being a contributor this year.
But like I said, good start to the year, best of luck going forward.

GET OUTTA HERE TROLL!
Just kidding buddy, thanks for stopping by. Yea Smith had a pretty nasty injury and it does not look too good from what we heard Harbaugh state. Could be a ACL problem. Your game seemed pretty damn boring as it was like 3-3 in the 4th quarter. But both our teams came out strong and walked away with few injuries.
Should be a fun season for both of us.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Haha...
Hey I saw your comments on one of the guys you know I like, Jameel McClain. I saw him play first hand at ‘Cuse, but he is going to be a project. The Orange coaches had no idea at all where or how to use him. He played DE, MLB, OLB, and elsewhere. They never let him learn one position, much less the little intricacies that go along with each. He’s raw, to say the least. I kinda thought him and Ray Ray would hit it off, and he’d of progressed further by now, but that’s why I’m where I am and not in a front office somewhere. He’ll come around.

Thanks.
Likewise, when I checked your game out it was 3-3 in the 3rd quarter, then I saw the final score and it was 20-10. What did all the scoring happen in the 4th?

Isaac Redman...
Undrafted rookie free agent RB from perrenial powerhouse Bowie State. He seems like he has decent upside, and he does have good size at 230 lbs. If he can do what he did last night against first or even second stringers we may have something. I am still skeptical, but I’m in wait and see mode. Link to our talks on him (if you’re interested), as I don’t think any of us knew anything about him before last week. I’ll say this, he has the longest highlight reel on Youtube I’ve ever seen, but that’s all I’ve got to go by.
by NYSteelersFan4 on Aug 14, 2009 2:02 PM EDT up reply actions
No shot dude
Keeping 6 RB’s on your team? Is he really gonna beat out Moore and Summers? He is going to have to continue what he did last night, but also not just get td’s off of goal line plays. He will need some serious yards to make that team.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
I hear you...
I laugh at the whole idea. I don’t think “Tank” even makes the team. There is just no room on the roster. What position(s) do you take players off of? It’s just not realistic at all. Short sighted at best, stupid at worst.

Natty Bo
Is the way to go. Cheap and delicious. One of the only times in life that you can actually “have it all.” I think Natty Bo should cut me a check for that.
