Ravens Mini Camp Starts
Today is the first day for mandatory mini camp in Balitmore. Veterans, rookies, practice squad guys and free agent pick ups all must report to the Ravens training facility in Owings Mills today.
This is the first time that the full team has come together since the loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game last January.
Couple things that ESPN AFC North Blogger, James Walker, will be concentrating on during the duration of mini camp.
- What strides will quarterback Joe Flacco make in his second year?
- Will the defensive scheme have a different look under new coordinator Greg Mattison?
- Who will take the early lead in the race to replace linebacker Bart Scott?
- How will tight end L.J. Smith fit with the offense?
- Will John Beck or Troy Smith take hold of the backup quarterback job?
- Can rookie first-rounder Michael Oher make an early impression in his quest to be the starting right tackle?
- Will any of the four veteran tryouts at receiver catch Baltimore's eye?

And Suggs is a no show to camp
Because he has not signed his franchise tender yet. Surprising……not

Anyone have ESPN Insider
If so please post this article that I saw the following headline for…
Rumors: Flacco-to-Boldin = 2009 TD combo – Insider
I nearly soiled myself seeing that.
My insider account of course expired 2 months ago. Wonderful

Just speculation
and based on what I’m hearing from the Ravens recent Camp, they seem satisfied with what they have, and Boldin’s contract demands are going to scare us away regardless of what the Cards would take in return.

This is from Ravens Insider, but is not much help.
Agent: Boldin will be traded
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin was again in the news Friday before the Ravens took the field for their first mandatory minicamp.
On agent Drew Rosenhaus’ Twitter page, he wrote, “I still believe Anquan will be traded before training camp. I hope to work together with the Cardinals to resolve this situation by then.”
The Ravens, who had talked to the Arizona Cardinals about Boldin, are currently holding tryouts at receiver with Jerry Porter, Kelley Washington, D.J. Hackett and Tab Perry.
But it seems like this Boldin story won’t ever get resolved.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
According to reports...
….Kelley Washington looked slightly better than the others; Porter caught a few balls but ran lazy, Tab Perry was nothing but in great shape and Hackett decided to try out for the Texans instead of us (good move, DJ).

Is it me, or does
it look like Joe hit the weight room?
