Ravens Owner Bisciotti Named 5th Best Owner in NFL

According to The Baltimore Sun's Ravens Insider, Sports Illustrated just ranked the owners in each sport. The great and proud news is that Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti was named as the 5th best owner in the NFL.

The hilarious and embarassing news is that they also named Baltimore Orioles owner Peter Angelos the worst owner in MLB. Ouch.

See the article here.

Who are the Orioles?

Water covers 2/3 of the Earth's surface. Ed Reed covers the rest.

How does the O’s owner get last when the Nats’ owner is only fifth worse. They both suck but the Nats are just terrible.

At least the O's had a chance to be good.

And Angelos took every opportunity to improve out of theGM’s hands by his continued stubborn meddling. The Nats have always sucked and never will have much of a chance at succeeding.

I agree

I think it looks a lot worse when you take a team with so much potential and is one of the most notarized teams in the history of the MLB and turn them into dog crap.

With the Nats, you just say “Oh, they are a new team, it is ok to be terrible.” With the O’s it is not Ok for a team like them to be as bad as they have been.

well said…sports team owners should be voted on by the public since they play a huge part in civic pride, business opps and tax money for massive complexes. angelos should be forced to sell. destroyed every good memory of my oriole youth with his laughing stock teams. can’t blame the yanks and sox when the rays and jay whip our ass in front of their 7,000 fans. how many losing seasons. could you imagine if the ravens had three losing seasons in a row. nothing changes with the O’s. they live off warm weather, beer, camden yards, yankee and sox attendance. they haven’t raised a good pitching prospect since Mussina and he did it on his own because he’s a brainiac. he probably told the o’s coaches to f-off.

bischotti hasn’t done anything to deserve 5th best. he resigned billick like a boob. he gave us the weapons to go 0-3 against pitt and duck for cover against NE and Indy. i guess the castle, hair gel and french cuffs got him a high rank. another ray lottery winner. let me charge $6 for a hot dog and $8 for a beer and i could build a playoff team.

Part of the reason Bisciotti is #5

is based on him taking the same tact as Modell, which is to stay out of the way of the football minds. Plus his willingness to stand behind guys (Ray) in public and the Castle certainly helps. The team’s success has a ton to do w/ it, as if we were perrennial losers, you wouldn’t see him up there on the list.

Angelos is the Dan Snyder of baseball, a Steinbrenner wannabe w/o spending the money or oh yeah, not winning.

the nationals are crap. they had a .500 team a few years ago and blew it up. they dogged Ryan Church and couldn’t come up the $ to keep their 1 great player in soriano. they decided to go loco latin to appeal to the masses in DC/VA…problem is they don’t go to the games and their amazon squads flat out stink. now they have no identity outside of 2 fat power hitters who can’t catch and Zimmerman. you could combine the o’s and nats and still make crap.

Add in the Pirates and we’ll have one big happy family of crap.
