Undrafted Free Agents
The Ravens sign some Undrafted Free Agents:
Ravens
QB Drew Willy (Buffalo)
DT Will Johnson (Michigan)
OL Greg Ryan (Western Kentucky)
DE Willie VanDeSteeg (Minnesota)
WR Eron Riley (Duke)
FB Jason Cook (Mississippi)
LB Dannell Ellerbe (Georgia)
K Graham Gano (FSU
I think WR Eron Riley is an interest prospect. I found something abou him http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dNr0XBIADE .
He is 6´3, 206 lbs. He has good stats, 700 yards, 8 td..
And maybe the best one is K Graham Gano. He was Kiper best rated Kicker... Hewas 26 of 28 last year, 5 - 7 form 50 yards plus...
What do you think

Graham Gano
was the guy I wanted the Ravens to draft with their last pick. I am so psyched that we were able to get to him first and sign him as an undrafted free agent! He has a monstrous leg and can make all the kicks. He should be able to beat out Hauschka, as both are pretty much rookies and Gano has all the tools to be a great kocker in the NFL for years.

Looks like Riley wont get a chance?

Says that they are bringing in the kicker guy, Gano, and two other Rookie FA’s. The QB from Buffalo and that Vandesteeg guy.
WOO!!!

Eron Riley
Howdy Ravens Fans! I’m a sophomore at Duke University, and have followed the black hole that is Duke football for years (But looking up now!). One of the very few bright spots on our team has been Eron, and let me just say y’all are getting a great player.
Eron has a great work ethic, a leap that can outclimb safeties and corners, and great quickness to lose defenders. He could use some work with his hands, but I think he could have a chance to make the team.
Congrats on a great draft, I thought the Ravens had a pretty good haul, and I’ll be keeping an eye on y’all this year.
Welcome to the Beatdown, Zeus
Why don’t you post a write up on him with a photo or link to a site?
MaLoR, can you do with a Dukie on our roster, especially if he can catch. Besides, if he can’t he probably can take great stats for us!

As long as Paulis isnt the QB for us
Or any of those other homos that play basketball, I am all for it. Duke football has been way too bad forever to actually put time into hating them like I do the basketball team.
Eron Riley Ran a 4.26/4.32 forty yard dash, had an 11’ broad jump and can ball. He looks a little unpolished from what I have seen, as he looks like he is always going to fall over when he runs. But he knows how to get separation. Hope Ozzie and coaches realize the talent.
Then again, he will most likely be cut because I like him.

See if you can tell...
…which receiver has which numbers: both sets of numbers are for their last three years of ACC football:
Recs: 138, Yds: 2,089, TD’s: 13, Ht: 6-2, Wt: 206
Recs: 133, Yds: 2,166, TD’s: 20, Ht: 6-3, Wt: 205
I will give you a hint: one was the Raiders 2009 first round draft pick and the other the Ravens just signed as a rookie free-agent…
BTW, the number that stands out in my mind is the TD differential.
Had the NFL consisted of eight rounds instead of seven (or if we had had a seventh round comp pick) and we drafted this guy, people would be saying what a genius Ozzie is across the board… whatever…
Ronald Curry!!!!
Oh wait, never mind.
Its only because its Duke and they are one of the worst Div1 football teams in the nation.

That is My Point
Even though Duke is such a horrendous football team, Riley has almost identical numbers to DHB and they both played in the same league so they essentially were up against the same competition. This guy could be a true diamond in the rough. If he does not pan out, Ravens have lost nothing, while if DHB busts the Raiders waisted a number 7 overall pick.
For those of you playing at home, DHB is the top row of number’s while Riley’s is the second row. I believe Riley is within 5 one-hundredths of DHB’s forty time also.
RC comment pretty funny, though…
Playing from behind every game
Can be conducive to big offensive totals. I’m not sure stats tell the whole story here.
You May Have a Point
Yards and receptions, I will grant you, may be artificially inflated. However, the guy did score seven more TD’s than DHB did over a three year period -pretty significant.
Point is, he may be the guy everybody is saying we need so desperately, and if he does indeed turn out to be “it”, Ozzie will have been proven right yet again. If not, nothing lost.
Nothing lost of course
But nothing gained as well

Mel Kiper
They asked Mel Kiper on sportscenter who they thought was the Tom Brady of this years draft.
Kiper stated that it was the QB we just signed, Drew Willy, from Buffalo.
Interesting…….
