Look at weeks 11-13

At Indy, hosting Pittsburgh in prime time on Sunday night then go to Green Bay to play the Pack on Monday night on the Frozen Tundra. Talk about a cold one!

Cleveland Rivalry

Why is the NFL trying to force-feed us a Cleveland rivalry? Do them a favor and spare them primetime games for a few years and allow them to actually be competetive. Green Bay in Dec?.. Ouch

no problemo

we will gladly beat them down on prime time in front of their pathetic fans. Can’t weait to see the trash talking. I can see it now:
Ravens Fan: “We have the top rated defense and are undefeated, while you are winless with the worst defense in the league.”
Cleveland Fan: “We hate you MotherF******s, you r stuped!”

"Easy" Season

With these teams past records I think we may have a real good season. I’m gonna go out on a limb & count these as W’s: CLE, DEN, CIN, DET (they will prob never be a good team).

by j0nnyr0y on Apr 14, 2009 7:28 PM EDT reply actions

Im gonna go out on a limb and count these as wins

week 1 through week 17

16-0 like I have said the last 13 years.

0-13 so far but will never give up!

You just know

the week 16 game at Pittsburgh will be “flexed” to a 4:15pm game based on the level of competition and the fact that we will both be fighting for playoff positioning.

that's a lot of prime time

November should be a fun month. I hate that vs. Steelers on Sunday night is at that weekend after thanksgiving. I usually go home on Sunday, and if it had been during the day could have watched that game with my parents. Would have been cool.

Crazy to have both games against Pitt so late.

by math_geek on Apr 14, 2009 7:34 PM EDT reply actions

Prime time in our house.

It’s better than prime time in Pittsburgh. I knew that they would make it prime time. The game is just too good. Also, I actually am happy that we are playing the Steelers later. If the guys know that it’s close, they will play harder.

by BAL_Hawk on Apr 14, 2009 8:15 PM EDT up reply actions

Could be 7-2 heading into Indy game

Losses at SD and NE, but winning everything else. With home wins over Pittsburgh and Indy, we can go 13-3 if the cards fall right. Sound good to you?

Rexx

by Rexx on Apr 14, 2009 7:36 PM EDT reply actions

We cannot lose those games.

I rather lose to the bengals and vikings then lose to SD and NE. We got criticized for not beating good teams last year. We need to do that this year.

We will take one of the two of SD and NE. Most likely both though : )

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

by Mr MaLoR on Apr 14, 2009 7:38 PM EDT up reply actions

This is an easy schedule!

It may be the easiest that I can remember for the Ravens. In terms of opponent winning percentage, it HAS to be one of the easiest this year. Not only that… I love the fact that our road games are dispersed very evenly! I cannot wait to see us pick up some steam.

by BAL_Hawk on Apr 14, 2009 8:10 PM EDT reply actions

Remember

no such thing as easy games in the NFL. Odds are that we will lose a game that we should win and win a game that we should lose. Hopefully we’ll do more of the latter than the former.

Rexx

by Rexx on Apr 14, 2009 8:13 PM EDT up reply actions

True. There are no easy games, but it’s definitely good when our road games are evenly spaced. You also have to love our opponent’s winning percentage.

by BAL_Hawk on Apr 14, 2009 8:18 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah, but

the opponents winning percentage in the AFC North is skewed down due to playing the horrible Browns and Bengals both twice each year. It’s the combined winning percentage of the rest of the schedule that is important, but not that important, as it is a different year. Some teams will improve and some will tank. We will definitely improve and kick ass, and I just can’t wait!

Rexx

by Rexx on Apr 14, 2009 8:22 PM EDT up reply actions

The AFC West got screwed.

They have to play the NFC East, and the scheduling guys didn’t even try to make it easy. Oakland’s schedule isn’t too bad, but Denver and Kansas City have to be pissed. Kansas City plays the entire NFC East in four consecutive weeks… Ouch!

by BAL_Hawk on Apr 14, 2009 8:20 PM EDT reply actions

Doesn;t matter

the AFC West is already decided as SD wins it and the others suck.

I've been thinking

about this for two days. Trying to be realistic.

We rock at home and we should run the table… but running the rack always has an obstacle. So, at home 7-1.

I don’t care who you’re playing, winning on the road in the NFL is always an accomplishment. We have some particularly challenging road games on the schedule (Chargers, Patriots, shmeelers), and the Pack at night in December… on the road 5-3.

12-4 does not win the division, the shmeelers have the 4th easiest schedule in the league and will capitalize.

It's easier to get forgiveness than permission.

by Allroof on Apr 15, 2009 9:12 PM EDT reply actions

and why

is the AFC north never mentioned with the power conferences? The two teams that go to the AFC championship. I’m tired of hearing about the NFC north or east.

It's easier to get forgiveness than permission.

by Allroof on Apr 15, 2009 9:16 PM EDT up reply actions

It's those losers

in Cleveland and Cincinnati that always holds us down and won’t allow us to be spoken of in glowing terms as a conference. See how well the “toughest conference” in the NFL, the NFC East, did against us and the Steelers. Pittsburgh only went 2-2 while we did a 3-1 on the NFC Least! Over rated!

Rexx

by Rexx on Apr 16, 2009 8:59 AM EDT up reply actions

I honestly think the NFC North is the best conference in the NFL

Wait, what???

We gotta play all them this year! AHHHHHHH

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

by Mr MaLoR on Apr 16, 2009 9:31 AM EDT up reply actions

Sorry, but...

…any conference w/ Detroit in it cannot be considered as the toughest, just like the AFC North, as tough as the Steelers and we are, cannot be considered the toughest conference either as long as Cincy and Cleveless continue to look so bad. However, I’d hate to have to know you’re going 2-2 at best if you have to play the AFC North.
