QB Pat White Visiting the Ravens
I just saw a update that the ravens are going to visit Qb pat white, (hmmm) I wonder if they plan to draft him, I saw a videos of pat white play and ( wow) the man has some skills he can throw the ball nicely and his speed and agility is very nice. I believe pat white is similar to Troy Smith which is good, Do you think the ravens should draft pat white or just sign a veteran QB to help Joe Cool out with wisdom of being a QB, (hmmm) I really think pat white might be a nice additon to the team maybe they could place in a trick play with joe flacco, troy smith, and pat white that would be cool.
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

Dont need him
Dont want him.
Why draft another Troy Smith like when we have Troy Smith.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Because this isTroy´s last year
Aftert 2009, he is FA and he want a chance to compete for a starting job
Also, I think they are looking to Pat White because there is a posibility of trading Troy Smith on draftday. Maybe if, after the 2 firts rounds the Jets or other team cant draft a good QB, we can offer Troy and get a 3rd for him.
So, if that happen, drafting Pat White with a 4 or 5 round makes sense to me.

Great Points
If he’s available in the 4th or 5th and our FO feels he could fit in our future plans, I’d be good with it. Being a UMD grad I always have hated WVU but I have to admit, Pat White is a damn good football player.
Troy was draft 5
If he has done enough to make someone think he could become a starter or at list be on competition for a starting job, that means he has raise his value.
So if he was drafted with a 5, that means that, at least, we can get a 4th for him.
A team will use a late pick better to draft a rookie for depth at the position, because normally a 5, 6 or 7 roun player (specially QB), is not draft to play a lot. THere will be no reason to give another team a pick for someone useless.
Thats why I cant see a trade for less than that. If he has show enouhg to convince a team to go for him, they will offer a 3rd or 4th..
And then we will get Pat White in the 5th.

Dont get rid of Troy
Not the time yet. We could use him a lot more next year.
And its 5th not 5

Smith knows our system
and has been effective when used, as long as he doesn’t call a time out. White is slighter in stature and will be an injury risk compared to the solidly-built Smith.

just
saying maybe it’s nice to have two troy smith or maybe he better then troy smith i believe he is taller i think
Despite White's good QB workouts in the offseason
I still think he’ll end up playing as a versatile RB/WR. I think the Ravens are just doing their homework on this one.
Unless the Ravens want to add a QB
in the later rounds that would stay on our Practice Squad (at least until the Browns claim him!), and then take over for Troy when he walks in free agency.
Isn’t White the winningest QB in NCAA history?

Don't necessarily see him w/ the Ravens but...
I think he will be a good QB in the NFL just by seeing the way he has showed confidence in his playing his position up until this point. The guy definitely deserves a chance. With some more work with trainers in the weight room and on the field, with his arm skills and confidence, why couldn’t he be the next best thing at the QB position? I think people will find this article interesting, http://bleacherreport.com/articles/107902-pat-white-is-an-nfl-quarterback. Hope I am right.

Possible Wildbird Threat
I think if he drops to the 4th round, Ravens are possibly going to use him as a third string, a trade chip, or a wildbird threat.
