Help Me Next Week, Guys!?
To my loyal fellow bloggers with Front Page access: I will be out of the country from this coming Monday (2/9) thru Saturday (2/14), so any Front Page posting you can add during this void for me would be greatly appreciated, as keeping up the consistency of daily blogging is even more important in the "off season."
On another note, I went to a meeting of SB Nation in Washington, DC yesterday evening. Expecting to see a couple of nerdy guys sqeezed together in one office asking each other if we had any new ideas, I was totally blown away by the impressive DC offices, the professionalism of the staff and leadership, and the incredible turnout of bloggers and other local people. SB Nation has leadership from AOL and other solid backgrounds, but most importantly they are all sports fans first and foremost. Even Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis was there, and spoke for a couple minutes of his respect for bloggers (he blogs daily on his Caps) and growing up a New York fan, reminiscing on the 1969 Jets and Mets. After he finished, I introduced myself as being from Baltimore and told him I definitely didn't remember anything from 1969!
There must have been bloggers from every conceivable sport there last night. Football, basketball, baseball, golf, mixed martial arts to name just a few. Amazingly, a bunch of these guys were from out of state and some of them blogged on teams not from their region. The Washington Nationals blogger, for example, lives in New Jersey. I spoke at length with the PGA Tour blogger, who has a ton of monthly hits, has been to trade shows and even spoke with the head of the PGA! Seems like there is a following for a blog in every sport.
Finally, please don't forget to help me out next week when I'm out of town by posting on the Front Page as early in the day as possible. Remember, you can write your post at any time and then schedule it for whatever day and time you want (look for box to bclick on at the bottom of your post). Thanks for helping out and get me your addresses for your T-Shirts!
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

I will write something to keep us occupied
I didnt know there was a SB Headquarters. Did anyone show up in Super Hero outfits?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Raven would
Thats his killer pick up line.
“Hey I blog on BaltimoreBeatdown, wanna go to Taco Bell tonight?”
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Rexx showed up for the meeting in an Aimes plastic halloween outfit of Chalka from Land of The Lost. They let him make the “My Name Is” stickers because he wouldn’t quit buggin’ them about it.
My pick up line these days are “My name is Rexx, do you want to see my Hawaiian Ravens shirt and sharks tooth necklace…and then go to the Golden Corral for flat steak?”
No clue how you do it
But I laugh at nearly everything you type.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Better than a
sweat stained t-shirt with your dribble on it from checking out the chicks that dig the shirt and the blog!
