flacco doin cracco
flacco stinks & hes on the take. came up lame like a wimperin child second and goal ,close my eyes throw it up and hope for the best. no wonder i got my clock cleaned against pitt last year. i completely ruined the advantage a competent defense gives you, but hell if i had a dinasour like cam cameron running the offense i'd probably wallow in my own dung as well. any way nice try joe enjoy your new house

Spoken like a true pessimist
We are not a good team, but if Flacco and others were on “cracco” at least they’d be playing with a more frenetic pace than those guys did last night and have all season.
aka 'Rexx'
Flacco sucks fact 1# / bring in Troy Smith at least he can scramble without throwing int
The problem with the Ravens is Flacco. I am so tired of his sorry ass, and we would have been better with Chad Henne, and you can see that with every game he plays in Miami he gets better. Well that is what we get for putting a division 1 QB in the NFL, Delaware, not a big name school. The recievers have some fault but it is mainly Flacco and his terrible passes. This is not the same Flacco because he depended on his accuracy at Delaware and last year. Now he is the same as last year but with worse accuracy, pathetic. Our D played bad but not that bad, it was on Flacco. Ray Rice had a hard game but people underestimate the Packers front 4.
As I said in another FanPost
I thought at the time of the draft that the combination of CB Aqib Talib and QB Chad Henne would have been better than Flacco/Rice, plus we could have gotten Steve Slaton in the 3rd round as well. Then I shut up as Flacco looked for real last season while Henne sat. Now, I’m not too sure that wouldn’t have been a better move. Starting four years at Michigan is certainly better than a couple at Delaware.

Flacco and Rice
Flacco will be fine even if it takes another off-season and the addition of a few more weapons. Ray Rice is going to be awesome for a long time in the league, he already is pretty damn good. Ozzie needs to get some more weapons for you guys on offense and i assume he will. Aqib Talib is bad new, Chad Henne on the other hand has the tools to be a good one in this league for a long time. Genius move by Parcells getting long in round 1 and Henne at the top of round 2. Ryan and Flacco have struggled this year but they both are on teams that have been beset by injuries. I would be happy with Flacco, growing pains are a mother sometimes.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
I am happy with Flacco overall
I do think he is the QB of the future, but the man is trying to do way too much right now. I put some blame on Ozzie to. Not pulling the trigger on Brandon Marshall when we had the chance was a hugeeeee mistake. Yes, we do need some of those high draft picks to fill spots at DE and CB, but we also need a WR badly.
The defense is going to be “solid” next year even if we do not draft a CB or DE in the higher rounds. But not giving Joe a guy who cannot simply be covered one on one and is huge, is a big time mistake. Look what guys like Calvin and Andre Johnson do for those two mediocre QBs. They make them look god like.
You give Joe something like that, and this offense sky rockets.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Rice and a bad ass WR
= high octane Offense
what about Dez Bryant in round 1?
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Na, he is too good for Ozzie
We will just load up on more Linebackers, safeties and O-Lineman. Ozzie always says we don’t draft for need and reach out to guys, which is good as he has hit some homeruns. But man if this team has been lacking a WR, it is now. And now we need a CB.
Sorry Ozzie, but we NEED a WR, CB, and DE. You might just have to reach this year.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Also interesting is how Parcells
reunited the Michigan QB (Henne) with his longtime LT (Long) in the same draft.
aka 'Rexx'
Parcells really knows how to build a winner
Not saying Ozzie doesn’t, but there are some MAJOR flaws in his style of building a football team.
If Miami can have one more really solid draft like they have over the last 2-3 years, I think they are going to be the team to beat in the AFC East. They have some really good, young football players down there.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
does Harbaugh
rant at the officials all game long like he did last night, like he does everytime i watch them play the Steelers? this guy is the Earl Weaver of football coaches, he never once let up on the officials. everytime they had a camera on him, he was motherfucking a side judge, a back judge or whoever was in ear shot. he even had his dad and brother in on it. no wonder the refs were sticking it to you guys.
i thought the Ravens would have played better with what was at stake, oh well, should make for an interesting december in the afc wild card chase although no matter who get’s the 5th or 6th spot has absolutely no shot this year imo.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Yes he does
Of course, maybe 3-4 calls last night were just ridiculous and shouldnt have been called against us, but Harbaugh just does that ignorant smile after a call, like he knows we committed it but wont admit it. Men of integrity my ass.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
i agree
there were some horsecrap calls, but coaches can’t control the officials, coach your team and let the refs be what they are, horse crap.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
You guys will demolish our dreams for good in 3 weeks. If Troy is back and we continue to play like this, I see you guys beating us 38-10, with our only TD coming in garbage time at the end of the game.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Only if Dennis Dixon plays
otherwise we compete with Ben IMO. The Steelers are just THAT bad as well this year!
aka 'Rexx'
Bruce
We have 5 losses by 3 points, how BAD can we possibly be? we havne’t come close to being blown out, it is a fine line in our case from being 9-3 or evern 10-2 whereas you guys have been beatdown on more than one occassion. You wish we were THAT bad (raven bad) not you raven, the actual team.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Lets see
3 of those losses came against teams with a combined record of 12-24.
I get your point though, as I stated in another comment some where else. Our 6 losses have come with the image that we were never in the game what so ever. In all 6 losses, I never had full faith that we would come back and win based on how bad we looked the entire game. With your 6 losses, you guys were at least playing great football for most of the game.
I dont know anymore man. This has been the craziest Raven season I have ever been a part of.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
I can't disagree
we had “the toughest schedule in NFL history” last year and we invented ways to win games. this year, we got cream puff city (on paper) and we’re inventing ways to lose games. we lose to the Bears, Chiefs and the Raiders of the world yet we crush Denver, crush San Diego and beat a pretty good Vikings team at home (only game this year the ball bounced our way) mind boggling stuff (and heavy drinking is my only recourse). we could lose out or win out and i wouldn’t be surprised. i hope we don’t make the playoffs, that would send a bad message. we need to spend this off-season “sharpening the saw” if you will because mediocrity is no damn good.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Yup
Agree with the heavy drinking. Solves everything for some reason for me. I don’t want the Ravens to make the playoffs either. I really do not think we deserve it. We deserved it last year, as we were playing great, great football. I am not even satisfied with our performance when we win.
There is no way we see a Ravens game like the Ravens-Dallas game last year again from this team this year. The fire and drive is not there and we are lazy.
I hope you lose one more and we lose one more before we meet in 3 weeks. That way, it wont have any playoff implications, you cannot sweep us, and it will just be a reason for us to F*** eachother up, just cause we can.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
good stuff
i laughed my ass off when i first got on the BTSC in Septmeber and i would read your post’s and i just thought some of the shit you came up with was hilarious. then i clicked on your picture and i was like “damn, this dude looks like my kitchen in college” natty light cans everywhere.
i love it when the Steelers play the Ravens (except for jamal lewis in his prime) there are always great hits some legal and some illegal but it is always a war and i think it is the best rivalry in the NFL.
can’t wait to read some of your comments when we lose to the Dawgs thursday night!
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Dude
If you lose to the Oranges on Thursday, I will not say a word. I think you will know what kind of crap I would spit everywhere. Plus, I learned my lesson (again) after last night. Talked too much shit after you lost to Oakland Cheese Graiders and then got a sock shoved in my mouth.
And yes, I love beer. What kind of shit did I come up with? I really do not remember some of the stuff I write on these blogs. I just enjoy busting Steeler fans balls, especially when at the beginning of the season I said (in a jokingly matter, didnt know it would really happen) that you guys would go 9-7 at best. Shit, not it looks like it.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Oh man
you just get into with some of those suckers and they take the bait and you just hit ‘em with blow after blow and they think you are the devil sometimes. i think you have a damn good sense of humor and sometimes i wonder if you’re just sitting in your room, pounding Busch Light (my personal fav) and just smiling as you jack off the Steeler fans that are clueless and yes there are many. 9-7 would mean we only lose 1 more? you were way off
i drank my ass off in college and i haven’t quit as an “adult”. i have a fridge in my garage here in Houston, TX that has a minimum of 60 Busch Light’s, 30 Diet Cokes (wifes favorite) and 30 Sprites (for the kiddos) at all times. usually on Sunday’s, i start at 09:30 and don’t quit until about 7pm aka 30 beers into it. if the Steelers lose, we mix in some whiskey, if the Steelers win, we do shot’s of vodka. different buzz, beer and whiskey vs. beer and vodka. the whiskey on sunday almost got my cousing a divorce, he punched 3 holes in the wall and beat up his gas grill his wife got him for father’s day in june…… i try to stick with the beer but when you lose to the Cheifs and Raiders, beer sometimes won’t put you to sleep.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
You call it sleep?
I call it blacking out. Sleep just takes away from drinking time.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
You guys ought to move in together
The Steelers fan (Ward) can buy the beer and MaLoR can line the walls with the cans. We’ll call the Steeler fan “Ward” and I guess MaLoR will have to “June!” <—-older guys will get the names (The Cleavers)
aka 'Rexx'
Man, you should see me my at my place now. My roommate and I have collected all the cardboard from the god knows how many 30 packs and cut out the side of them and put them on our wall. We have nearly the whole living room filled with Natural Light, Miller Lite, Busch Lite, Bud Light and whatever light there is covering our walls. It is pretty sweet.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
lol. It would help if Harbaugh coached the team on the field. You know, the guys who lead the league in penalties, personal fouls and unsportsmanlike conducts.
He could at least stand behind Cam and say, “NO, not that play, no, not that play, no not that play…run the ball.”
I cringed when I saw his brother getting guided away by an assistant coach. That’s crazy and I expect an NFL ruling baout family/college coaches on the sidelines. LOL.
what about poppa harbaugh?
he was ranting worse than the boys. the apple don’t fall far from the tree.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Some Harbaugh had to yell
at that execution on the field, instead of making excuses about it while smiling at the camera like a crooked politician who answers the every question the same way.
aka 'Rexx'
Yeah, he’s been in over his head for sometime. I think Cam is the guiding force. Mattison is also in over his head. With 2 of 3 coaches unseasoned and unprepared it doesn’t work out very well. Funny thing about it is that Mattison at least has a respectable D performance. Cam has no excuses other than he has no game plans for anyone.
When are their contracts up?
Last season we have Good Dcoordinator and good Ocoordinator
they understand what we can do and we can’t do. This season res is long gone. Cam is so encouraged by last season that he is trying change us into a colts offense. Now it’s just the aftermath of all the bad decisions.
I guess we were too confident in our ability to overcome any change to the Winning team we had. Bart Scott, sure, any linebacker can succeed beside Ray, we say. Jim Leonard, yes, we have Landry who is supposed to be better. Rex? no matter, we have several d-coordinator that were very successful. Mat stover? who needs an old guy that can’t kick off anymore?
Looking back, all these personel changes bite us one way or another. Right now, if I were one of the player, my confidence would be shaked pretty hard. In fact, I believe it starts in the Minn game where the field goal is missed. After that, the only good complete team performance is against Broncos…
Perhaps Bart Scott was right
when he said that the real coach last year was Rex Ryan. Harbs may have floated along for the ride and looked good. Problem is that it seems he is now believing it as well.
aka 'Rexx'
Yup
Stafford with a dislocated shoulder stood in there and made a hell of a throw in the red zone to win the game. It was against the Browns, but if Joe jammed his finger on his non throwing hand, he would somehow throw 2 ints on one play.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
If you even love Flacco, remember
Stafford was the #1 overall pick while Joe was a surprise at #19 (?).
aka 'Rexx'
I'll love Joe again sometime around Thursday
But for the next 48 hours, I really hate him…….alot
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
what about Foxworth?
that dude can’t cover, he is your WIlliam Gay but he might be faster than Gay which makes him better. we have a pass rush every week and can’t cover, you guys have ZERO pass rush and can’t cover but who can cover for 6-7 seconds? I love Webb, that kid has mad skills and his future is bright imo. you have a nice foundation for the future with Webb, Krueger, Johnson is a beast in the making and you really need to upgrade at safety in the draft or via FA, without Ed Reed, your safeties are average at best (much like us without TP)
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
Dont even start with Foxworthless
I am upset to see a fellow Terp and guy from my hometown do so bad. 24 million down the drain. He will be a back-up in a year or 2.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
wow
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
We owe Billick and Foxworth 29 million over the next 3 years. LOL. Money well spent..Oh wait, add Sluggs 70 million.
Ryan Clark is better
than Dawan Landry. Also, I would have liked to see Haruki Nakamura in there at safety Monday night had he not been lost for the season in the Cleveland MNF game w/ a broken leg, as I think he’s more suited to play the FS position than Zbi was.
aka 'Rexx'
Yea he is for sure
But Zbi did his thing out there. Nearly had 2 interceptions and no deep balls were completed on his side.
And I do not think Clark is better than Landry. First of all, they play different positions. Clark is FS, Landry is SS. I had this argument with a Steeler fan at BTSC a while ago and looking at the stats of both since Landry has been in the league, he has been way more productive than Clark has.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Uhhh,...did you miss
the pathetic leap against the Packers rookie TE and the boor hit on the same guy’s other TD reception?
aka 'Rexx'
by Bruce Raffel on Dec 9, 2009 10:45 AM EST up reply actions
No way
I thought that was his best effort he could give. Finley is 6’5" zbi is 5’10". You expect him to win that battle?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
I don't expect the Ravens scheme
to put him that position in the first place. But since they did, he did not deliver. Who cares that he gave his best effort.? So does Foxworth and Walker each time they backpeddle, but their best just isn’t good enough and neither was Zbi’s. He is a decent nickel or dime package guy but no starter on this defense. Even Ruki is better than that.
aka 'Rexx'
As much as I hate Flacco
He is clearly head, shoulders, stomach, legs, and feet above any other QB you have had, I include Testaverde and McNair in that. Pretty much every QB goes through a sophomore slump, it is just physics. He has the components of a good QB, he just needs to eliminate his bad reads. Getting a talent WR might help too.
Ray Rice is Ray Rice. Impossible to tackle because he is so low and quick. If you guys really don’t like him, we will take him.
Foxworth sucks. I told you all that at the beginning of the year and you said I was crazy. No one wanted to believe me.

Foxworthless is money down the drain. Our whole secondary is poop, and yes, I did not want to believe you. But you also didn’t want to believe me when I said your secondary was not that good to. Then again, Troy is out. (Shut up MaLoR)
Johnny, you know anything I say over at BTSC is all in good fun, especially when you lose. Hope you haven’t taken my comments too serious. Cause even though I dish them out sometimes, you can definitely hit me right back with the same thing. <3

10-4
I saw you guys talking Terps hoops earlier and I used to Coach Hoops at Robert Morris in Pittsburgh. At least when the Steelers season is over, we have ACC/BIG TEN on ESPN. Next to the NFL, I love college hoops action. Gary Williams is a tough sob.
"Coach Mike Tomlin promised that his Steelers would unleash hell, not look like it." Ed Bouchette PPG
I admit
Sometimes I get frustrated with you, especially when I return home from the bar, drunk after a loss and you are on the board. I know it is all in good fun, trust me. I am not sure if Warrior knows that though, he just says some extremely hateful and unintelligent shit and then tries to pass it off as a joke. Not sure what his problem is.

Don't buy the sophomore slump thing in football
In baseball the hitters learn the pitchers and the vice versa after they’ve been in the league awhile, but the offense is a team thing in football and you certainly don’t need to prepare for Flacco. Maybe Rice, but not Joe. That said, he is now so focused on getting the ball o Rice that he is probably defying the playcalling by checking down too early, which makes it easy to play against the Ravens, as the Pack showed Monday.
aka 'Rexx'
Giants fan
Live in MD now and Flacco’s my second favorite QB. I’m guessing most of this is just anger at a bad game (I’ve said trade Eli for a 7th rounder to myself out of anger before).
However, If you honestly think that Troy Smith is the answer and that Flacco is truly terrible and will never be good then wow. Sophmore slumps happen. Young quarterbacks have bad games. Heck, good, veteran, sb winning, quarterbacks have games like this at times. He’ll look good again.
"We're only going to score 17 points?"
I just want Troy to get some reps and Flacco to get benched to light a fire under his Sleestack ass.
Flacco
makes some bad choices just like very other QB in the league.
These same guys that are saying he sucks were sucking his ball sack after the first 3 weeks of the season when we were 3-0. Now he is struggling they want to hang him off the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
It is a team effort and the whole team is not looking to good, to many flags to much bitching and complaining. They are suppose to leave that to us fans.
But Flaccos mistakes
are re-occurring this season from game one thru Monday night. I need to see a sign that he CAN win one of these close ones in the 4th quarter, and don’t give me the Steelers game as example!
aka 'Rexx'
He has
New England and Minnesota
both games he was leading game winning drives. In NE, dropped 1st down pass on 4th down. In MIN, missed 43ish yard field goal after he led team into game winning FG range.
His QB rating in the 4th quarter before his game as really good
"We're only going to score 17 points?"
On the last drive in Minn. he threw a ball away out of bounds with no pressure and wide open spaces. I couldn’t believe it. Our drive stalled and we put the game on the foot of a rookie (for the most part).
In NE he led the slowest drive possible. I was beging for any type of hurry up and we burned the clock like crazy. Clayton did drop the ball BUT a lot happened leading up to that. We didn’t even get a shot in the end zone the entire drive.
But in both games
he had costly turnovers that necessitated last minute drives that failed. Without those mistakes, he might not put us in those positions so often!
aka 'Rexx'
Amen to that
I think the dropped pass and missing field goal starts the landslide of our offense. Every since those games, I don’t remember we have a good offsensive game.
No, the problems start
earlier in the games when Flacco turns the ball over and we end up playing catch up at the last minute of the close games we usually lose.
