Ravens-Packers 2nd Half 'Open Thread'

Wow, not only 72 yards of total offense in the entire first half, but remember 50-some of them came on the very first drive of the game for the Ravens. A lot will need to happen if Baltimore is going to make a game of it. Otherwise, TV sets all over the nation, especially in Baltimore, will be turning off a lot earlier than expected.

Keep tuned, post your comments and I am very nicely asking everyone to keep your frustrations inside and out of this blog!

fuck the Ravens

this sucks. THey’re stopping Rice, and Flacco don’t look good. Defense is playing as good as possible.

Gruden said it well:

“It looks like the refs are holding onto their yellow flags just waiting to throw it on another pass interference penalty.”

Such ticky-tack plays those penalties are. Unless there is an arm-bar or grabbing, a little pushing an shoving should be dismissed and not called. The refs are playing way too big of a part in the NFL this year.

we had 6 straight receivers open and flacco hit most of them. might not need the run at this point. my concern is harbuaghs slownees getting plays in and melting the clock. look for goofy TO’s and other nutty clock mismanagement.

Delaware must pay !

I say Maryland should declare war on that state for giving Flacco to the Ravens !

by WarWolf on Dec 7, 2009 11:41 PM EST reply actions

I'm telling you,...

….you can say what you want about the defense this year, but no one person has hurt this team this year more than Flacco. He may be putting up the stats but his decision making has me convinced that he is not the QB he was last year and seems to think he is better than he is, which has killed us now in four of the six games we’ve lost (counting this one). NE, Cincy, Indy and now GB have been close enough to win only to have Flacco throw a STUPID Red Zone INT!!!

aka 'Rexx'

by Bruce Raffel on Dec 7, 2009 11:41 PM EST reply actions

Of course, you can bench Cam Cameron as well

as from the one or even four yard line, you run it four times to score. Gee, where has McClain been all night? Has he gotten ANY carries!?

aka 'Rexx'

by Bruce Raffel on Dec 7, 2009 11:42 PM EST up reply actions

run 4 time straight and score. how hard. how hard!!!! tell your G-damn players to run straight ahead or get cut. How hard!!!!! McClaine should have the ball on the 1 every time. Every time. Harbaugh blows.

I cannot tell you how pissed I am right now.

I am glad my Lions tickets are sold already. I new these d-bags would choke.

Flacco was 24-75 ih the playofffs last year. He was never worht the hype. If Houshka gets the axe then why not blind, no feel Joe!

How many opp’s did pitt give us to win. flacco couldn’t do it on 5 4th quarter tries and OT. Paul Kruger did it.

by raven on Dec 7, 2009 11:43 PM EST reply actions

Lets bring back boller….maybe even bring in vick……flacco is trash.

by ryantz on Dec 7, 2009 11:44 PM EST reply actions

Harbaugh should bench Flacco, just to send a message about his terrible decision-

making. Its just plain terrible. What is he seeing? His decision making is horrible. Heap wasn’t even open. The safeties were closing in on Heap anyway. Harbaugh should think long and hard about bench Flacco for at least a quarter or so, if these turnovers continue to happen.

by raven on Dec 7, 2009 11:46 PM EST reply actions

he always likes to go left and has scored on it before .

but 1st down on the 1 calls for a punch it in play imo – sneak or dive play

by WarWolf on Dec 7, 2009 11:51 PM EST up reply actions

Rice or McClain a much better option. It is almost as if the staff feels obligated to use McGahee even though he clearly is not a better back than the other two.
