Give the Ravens some love?
I thought this was a fairly even game coming up, so the thought would be that people picking etiher team would be more or less an even split. Well I've been looking at some expert's picks around the internet and i can't find a single one who picked the ravens to win monday night at the Packers. All of ESPN's monday night crew is with the Packers, as well as all of the other esperts for ESPN. If someone can find someone who is going for the Ravens, let me know.
The opinions posted here are those of the administrator of this blog and his loyal readers. They are in no way official comments from the team, and should not be misconstued as such, even though he thinks he could do just as well or even a better job!

Then again, I bet Jameson Hensley picks us to lose to the Bears. Mike Preston will pick us to lose to the Lions.
Flacco could throw 28/37 for 360 yards and 3 TDs and Preston would still give Joe a B+ for his performance. "He overthrew 2 passes in the game, so I gave him a B+)
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
I'm picking the Ravens!
and bet a few of the other AFC North teams’ writers will as well.

James Walker of the ESPN AFC North blog picked us to win 23-20
But ALL of the experts on ESPN picked the Packers. They really think we stand no chance?

I'll go Pack!
The Steelers officially ‘shit the bed’ so the only satisfaction I get now is seeing the Ratbirds lose too. :)
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

A better record because you play teams each week that have less than 2 wins.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
Haha
I know we have no talent, we should be like 4-7 instead if 7-4 right?

No doubt you guys have some serious talent
But your 7-4 record is not THAT impressive considering you have beaten teams in the lower half of the league and lost to teams in the upper half. And that Tampa Bay performance, you really think that should impress me more about your team?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
No I don’t think a loss to Tampa Bay should impress you. But what matters most is how your team is currently playing and how they have played as of late. Currently we’re on a 3 game winning streak which includes beating a good Dallas team, an average but solid 49ers team, and a bad Lions team.
Our o-line which has been our achilles heel all year, especially in our losses, has been playing much better as of late and our defense really seems to finally be comfortable in our new scheme. Too add to that, your pass rush hasn’t exactly been stellar as of late, and your secondary is considered to be a bit suspect. We’ll have a hard time stopping your offense because of Rice and for that reason I think it’s going to be a great game between two talented teams.

Gotta agree w/ the Pack guy
A win is a win, as we Ravens fans certainly have learned that this season. That said, what do you guys think the Pack’s record would be if they were in the AFC North and us in the NFC North?
I say the Pack would split with the Steelers at best and get swept by the Bengals and sweep the Browns, for a 3-3 conference record. They would have lost to the Vikes, Colts, Pats and Chargers IMO. That pretty much puts them at the 4-7 record they were joking about.
Conversely, we would probably sweep the Bears and Lions but get swept by the Vikes. Without knowing the rest of their schedule but seeing the only truly good win was over a less than impressive Dallas team, I could see us at 8-3 or even 9-2.
But then again, I’m a Ravens fans, so I obviously drink the purple kool-aid!

Eh
We would likely split with the Bengals. They beat us in what was a close game and they certainly had some things go their way.
I think we would have beat the Chargers week 2. They looked horrible at the beginning of the year, especially on defense.
I think if we played your schedule to this point we could be 6-5 or 7-4. With our losses being the Vikes, Pats, Colts, Cincinnati, and the Steelers. Though I think we could possibly beat the Pats, Colts, or Steelers.
I think if you played our schedule you would probably be 7-4, just like we are. With your losses coming to the Vikes 2x, Bengals, and one loss to the Bears (week 1 when they had Urlacher and Tinsoimoa healthy on defense), Cowboys, or 49ers.
Keep in mind injuries have absolutely depleted the Bears but they were pretty good in the beginning of the year, and beat the Steelers week 3.

Perhaps, but
until you beat a good team on the road, you will continue to have to convince me. Good luck in the playoffs and it would be great to see you and Minn in the NFC Championship Game when you go there and beat Brett in his new crib!

Fair enough. Thanks good luck too you guys.

Jason cole on yahoo sports
thats the only one i found
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/peter_king/12/06/mmqb/4.html
Peter King picked us to win 29-17. He’s also calling for 35-40 touches combined for Rice and McGahee.
Water covers 2/3 of the Earth's surface. Ed Reed covers the rest.
That’s saying something because King absolutely loves us. I think he had us ranked as the 2nd best team in the league going into the year haha.

Lumber Flacc will be in full prevent offense with these conditions. Cam surely won’t open it up tonight will he? Come on Cam surprise us! Ngata on the reverse.
My son
has been waiting for Haloti’s touchdown. Wonder what his celebration would be?!?

Yeah, Jason campbell sure do look good.
We could use Flacco between the 20’s and then bring in Troy.
You see what he did to the Saints secondary?
Even if they are hurt, they still have some killer players back there. Sharper would return two of Joe’s bonehead picks for TD’s if we played them. Hell, McAlister would even have a pick.
