Hauschka Signed By Falcons
After being released over a month ago, former Baltimore Ravens placekicker Steven Hauschka has found a new home, being signed to a contract by the Atlanta Falcons. Hauschka was signed due to current Falcons kicker Matt Bryant suffering a hamstring injury in their win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Bryant was signed just a little while ago to replace the ineffective veteran kicker Jason Elam.
Best wishes to Steve to latch on and stay in the league with better luck than he had here in Baltimore. Funny thing is that both kickers we had in Training Camp are now employed by NFL teams elsewhere other than in Baltimore. Hauschka in Atlanta and Graham Gano is now the kicker for the Washington Redskins Even our placekicker for the past 13 years, Matt Stover, is still in Indianapolis, although he probably will be released now that Adam Vinitieri has returned to active duty.
Interestingly, former Baltimore Ravens undrafted rookie, QB Drew Willy, who was cut in Training Camp, had been signed to be the 3rd string QB for the Indianapolis Colts earlier this month, but was cut on Monday. After watching Colts' backup Curtis Painter against the Jets, I can't believe Willy could have been any worse if given the chance.
PS- I traded emails withGraham Gano about that recent Monday Night Football game with the New York Giants. In a play at the end of the first half, he came onto the field to attempt a FG, but the 'skins decdided to go with the trick play. I asked him about how he liked being part of it and did he want the ball on that play. His response:
"Hah it wasn't that bad. We thought the fake would work but it didn't play out like we thought it would...but that's how fakes are you either get it or you don't. If we would have got it it would have been great but since we didn't we get ripped for it. But anyways that's special teams for you. Hope things are going well,"
Graham"

Is the first word supposed to be after?
The key to success in life is doing what people constantly say you cannot do.
What do you guys think about cundiff?
do we keep him next season or go after a kicker in the draft?
Cundiff
Is doing a fine job! His 2 misses were bad snaps.
My question is after Stover is released should the Ravens go after him for the Playoffs if we win Sunday?
Cundiff has been solid
and no certainly Stover would have made all the kicks Cundiff did. Keep him and bring someone in for competition next summer.

Cunsniff (to be kind) is a dime a dozen. He’ll get beat out next summer by Milton Tananbaum from Slippery Rock.
Milt the "Stilt" has a great leg, but
He won’t be using it on the Sabbath!

Good luck Hauscka. Seems like a good kid. Tough to be cut after a few misses so early in a career. Almost seems unfair.
yea but we had to do it. its like killing paulie in the godfather. he had to go.
