Graham Gano FG in OT Wins UFL Championship Game
Former Baltimore Ravens placekicker (at least in Training Camp), Graham Gano, drilled a 33 yard field goal in overtime as the Las Vegas Locos won the first UFL Championship Game over the previously undefeated Florida Tuskers. Gano also hit a 46 yarder in the game as well.
I realize that current Ravens placekicker Billy Cundiff has been a pleasant surprise in the two weeks that he's been here, but I'm just saying he should stay on our radar if things turn sour in the future.

Hey, Cundiff is doing great
but if Gano had been w/ us from the beginning, the worst we’d be is 7-4, which looks pretty sweet right about now.

I can't believe that he
would turn down actual cash as opposed to what the Las Vegas Showgirls are paying him….gambling tokens and all the cocktail shrimp he can eat at the midnight buffet.

He'd turn into one of those
big fat old time kickers.

keep him on the radar for sure
but Cundiff’s slight miss from 56-yards was nearly a perfect kick and showed that he has great nerves under pressure. He scored points in my book last night and until he gets shaky, I think Cundiff has earned the right to remain our kicker.

YES!
That 56 yard kick at the end was amazing. He said himself his range was 53 and that was 56.. and the fact that he did it w/o getting a chance to think about it or even looking at the goal.. VERY impressive
Right down the middle to
If he had a chance to set up and get himself straight, probably could have nailed it.
You have to hate losing more than you love winning.
We'll take him!

hopefully he can tackle
rather than just get out of the way like Reed did on that kickoff return vs. the Bengals. That was disgraceful and I empathize with how furious you must have been.

And as Reed did vs. the Vikings...
He’s a serial whiffer.
I don’t need Gano to tackle, can he at least fall in front of someone at the right time?

yeah honestly
all he had to do was fall over and he would have at least slowed scott enough for someone else to make a tackle.

GET AWAY!
He is our kicker to wish we had. Stick to the blonde bomber.

No...
How we the Ravens handle this situation? I mean, look at this:

Giants trying out Hauschka and Gano
From Adam Schefter.
The New York Giants have been kicking around the idea of getting a new kicker.
And, on Tuesday, they’ll kick the tires of a couple more. Kickers.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Steve Hauschka and Graham Gano will come to town for a tryout. Hauschka beat out Gano for the kicking gig in Baltimore. Gano went on to kick the championship-winning field goal for the UFL’s Las Vegas Locomotives; Hauschka got cut after missing several key kicks.
Matt Bryant, who kicked for the UFL’s Florida Tuskers, took a physical with the Cardinals over the weekend, but he was not signed. Bryant and Gano are both scheduled to try out for the Falcons, who have been considering giving Jason Elam the boot.
The maneuverings are evidence of how fungible — and cruelly accountable — the kicking position is. The men who hold these positions have one job . . . to make kicks. When they don’t, they’re done.

i'd laugh very very hard if hauschka beat out gano again...

I'd laugh really hard if the Giants actually pick up Shankapotomus.
With 5 games left, I think he will miss 4 FGs and 1 extra point. That wind in the Meadowlands is crazy.

and to think that they’ll be willing to have him kicking under New York pressure. Those fans will cut him a bunch of slack when he shanks another 34-yarder from the left hash… Yeah those Giants fans are totally forgiving…

I liked Mat Bryant
and he kicked great I thought for Tampa. Remember his son died and he kicked something like four FG’s the next day or something like that? Watch Giants take Gano and he kicks a few game winners while Cundiff falls hard and we re-sign Hauschka for one more try.

Hauschka is like kryptonite to winning
Why on earth would anyone try him out after seeing his performance here?
Because he is supposed to be a Dentist
Why wouldn’t you want him on your team? He knows teeth.

Just put Houshka on the right hash and he’s automatic.
Besides the Ravens have a 2 virgins on a team rule and Houshka had to go.
