Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Worst loss in franchise history.........I believe it is.

With so many chances to win this, this I believe is the worst lost in history of the Ravens Franchise. With so much riding on this game and so many missed chances. This is even worse than the playoff lost to the Colts in 2006. This is not good for confidence. I see 3 more loses. Why? We can't win close games. 2 with Pittsburgh and 1 at Green Bay. 3 more likely losses and that is 8-8. Can we say Disaster of a coaching season.

I'm no Ravens fan, but is this really worse than the winnable title game last year

or the playoff loss to Indy in 2006. In 2006 you guys fooled Manning consistently, and still lost. It was a similar game actually.

YES

Because, Steelers were better. And they found ways to win. made plays. Defense played so well and offense stunk it up like old times. I do not know how Ray Lewis can take it anymore.

since you're not a ravens fan...

and you can look at this without the blatant emotional charge that most of these ravens fans are exhibiting right now, wouldn’t you agree that these knee-jerk reactions to this game are a bit much?

Are “new coaches” are learning to lose. Not a good thing. We can’t beat good teams!! Flat out can’t beat anyone above .500 on any sort of regular basis. Dumb coaching. I go to games and wait to lose. Gee whiz that’s a ton of fun. I’m done. Close the book. I can’t continue to waste my Sundays walking away in discust. It’s not fair to any fan to pay for or root for that type of mismanaged garbage.

I meant- "our " new coaches- sorry.

In all honesty (and I’m not kidding) our receivers are better off without plays. If they just ran to get open we would be better off. Think we could score a TD with guys actually running to open space instead of burying their heads in the defenders chest as we block for Rice and Mason all game. Spread it out, stop running on 2nd and longs forcing predictable 3rd down passing plays. It’s not that hard. It really isn’t.

Need to get a passing game again.

I mean Heap, Clayton, Washington. Where have they been? When the FCK was the last time Flacco threw a TD pass.

worst "LOSS"

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

Agreed

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

Noi the Indy playoff loss was much worse

We thought we might have a chance yesterday but knew we were not that great of a team. The 2006 team should have won the Super Bowl and that loss hurt so bad. At least we get to start over this coming Sunday, while that playoff loss ended our season.

Bigger game.

2006 was a bigger game. We were beaten then. More so than yesterday. Yesterday was winnable 5 different times. I will take a blowout loss anyday over a poorly managed winnable game. Therefore this will be the worst loss I have seen.

See my Tuesday am post

There was no way that Manning would have let the Colts lose this game. He would have done whatever necessary to win and we would have just sat there and watched him work his magic.

Are you saying...

…that Manning is unbeatable? Why even take the field with that attitude?

I was medicated with jello shooters for the indy game and only remember it in bits and peices. sometimes i wake up at 3AM in a panic with a brief flashback. it slowly comes back to me.

this loss is just the norm. it’s who we are. second fiddle city. next year next year next year…10 years later. i will take this garbage over Billick garbage but it’s still garbage.

Time for more jello, raven.
