Ochocinco gets in twitter tiff with Washington and Foxworth

While I have enjoyed all of Ochocinco's off-the-wall remarks on this season of HBO's Hard Knocks, I never thought he would pick a fight with our boys via Twitter. I guess we can never underestimate someone that says such things as "Child, please" and "Kiss the baby." This is possilby Chad's attempt at ruffling Foxworth and Washington's feathers (no pun intended!) since they are on his "Dulce Venganza" list (meaning sweet revenge in Spanish) - picture here:

 Ochocincos-list_medium

We shall see on Sunday. I think this game is bigger than people are making it to be. Hopefully, this time, we will come out on the winning side.

Edward Lee posted this blog on The Baltimore Sun's website:

Twitter tiff

Less than 24 hours after Sunday's 27-21 loss to the New England Patriots, the Ravens began preparing for a Sunday visit from the Cincinnati Bengals in a potentially significant showdown for AFC North supremacy.

And at about that time, Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco began poking the Ravens via Twitter. Ochocinco, whose Twitter account is named OGOchoCinco, fired the first salvo at cornerbacks Fabian Washington and Domonique Foxworth. While Foxworth has stayed silent, Washington has not been as generous.

Here is the exchange between players listed chronologically:

Chad Ochocinco (OGOchoCinco) to Fabian Washington (FABEWASH31) at about 10:30 p.m. Monday night: "bruh you in trouble Sunday, you gone kiss da baby, this ain't a threat it's a promise. I'm shutting the front door on you!!!!!"

Ochocinco to Domonique Foxworth (Foxworth24): "cmon son, how you cover me with a last name like fox<---you ain't Vivica son! It's on Sunday,I'm not being cocky, i'm that good!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "trust me home boy it's going down. Believe dat"

Ochocinco to Washington: "don't do that, don't talk back son, know yo competition son, this ain't madden, you really hit to see me"

Ochocinco to Washington: "tell Vivica Foxworth he better just sit this game out!!!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "this water running up hill. Str8 pressure"

Ochocinco to Washington: "huh!!! Shut the front door!! You betta pray you got help every down, watch the clevland film, 2 man every down<---WTF!!!"

Washington to Ochocinco: "really if u watched the film u can c I had no help. But good night it's past my bed time"

Ochocinco to Washington: "bed time, you ain't gonna be able to rest, cmon son, have a dream like Martin Luther king son you will get embarassed Sunday"

Can't wait to see how this unfolds Sunday.

yes you actually lost IQ points while you read those.

I like his name-calling

of Domonique as “Vivica Fox-worth!”

yeah

unfortunately he’s looked like vivica all year except for the gift that quinn telegraphed to him…

I’m not-so-secretly pulling for Webb to jack that roster spot at some point.

starting spot, not roster spot, obviously

Disagree

I don’t think he’s been that bad. Not great but not horrible. When we don’t have a good pash rush against top QB’s and WR’s, most CB’s don’t look good. Hes no Reivis or Asomouga but hes a solid CB in this league. I think Webb should replace Carr as the nickel. Webb is nowhere near ready to start.

by DT711 on Oct 7, 2009 9:37 AM EDT up reply actions

$28 million over four years?

He’s not losing his starting gig and Webb is even smaller than both him and Fabian. No thanks,. Just put Webb back there for punts and kickoffs.

by Bruce Raffel on Oct 7, 2009 10:02 AM EDT up reply actions

We needed CB help, badly

And we will only use him for punts and kickoffs? I wouldn’t mind bring McAlister back at this point. We need Samari to, man.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

by Mr MaLoR on Oct 7, 2009 10:11 AM EDT up reply actions

Our Cb's have been fine

They are not the reason we lost. We need to improve our pash rush which will in turn improve our CB’s and overall coverage. C-Mac is not coming back but Rolle would be a huge boost if he can return for the stretch run.

by DT711 on Oct 7, 2009 10:18 AM EDT up reply actions

Correct, you'd be amazed...

….how good any CB’s can look with a consistent pass rush. And the opposite is also true.

aka 'Rexx'

by Bruce Raffel on Oct 7, 2009 10:33 AM EDT up reply actions

So.....

Right now we basically do not have an effective pass rush which is then leading to an ineffective secondary. Not too many other aspects we can be effective at. Yea, we stop the run. But allowing 275-300 yards passing every game is not going to get us where we need to be, even with the best run defense in the league.

You have to hate losing more than you love winning.

by Mr MaLoR on Oct 7, 2009 10:38 AM EDT up reply actions

It got us to the AFC Championship

Last year and that was with a much weaker offense.

Go back and look at the passing totals we gave up to good teams last year.

by DT711 on Oct 7, 2009 10:52 AM EDT up reply actions

Teams will continue to put up passing stats on us

as most games we will be winning and teams will be airing it out to catch up. Won’t matter as there is where the turnovers happen.

i actually agree with what most of you said

i understand about the contract and such, and that webb isn’t ready right now, but I do think there have been some lapses on Dom’s side of the field. Then again, we saw similar stuff from Fabian who has been very solid this year. He’s also become more physical. So I’m not pushing the panic button, but at the same time I’m not sold on Foxworth yet. I know we had no choice but to sign him—but still, performance is what it is and i think it could improve.

Obviously the pass rush is on notice as well.

Expect that from Dom

As he is on the other team’s #1 receiver so he will get burned more than most of the other DB’s. Hopefully the Ravens will learn to give him help on the bigger guys.

typical trashtalk

This is all in good fun, you can still tell they both respect one another. Hopefully Chad doesn’t get the best of us, I like how he is not afraid to admit he didn’t do well when he doesnt. He sometimes wont check off the corners on his checklist if he has a bad game, Washington just needs to back it up, water up hill…straight pressure.

I’m a die hard Bengals fan, but would someone on your team just knock the crap out of Chad on Sunday. I mean is he a great reciever? Yes, but dude seriously catch the ball, score TD’s and go spend your paper. This isnt high school and your attempting to be the most popular girl in school. I hope its a good game this week between the birds and cats but to be honest you guys were robbed last week. As much as I would love to say “We are going to kick your guys butt this sunday and get a W” I know it’ll be the other way around. Much love from a Bengals fan to a team who deserves to be called one of the best. But you have to admit your shocked to see the Bengals at 3-1.

by lone w on Oct 7, 2009 12:23 AM EDT reply actions

Lone, I am shocked

I am used to only having one team as our competition (at least in the last couple years), and it feels good to see another team in our division be looked at like a serious team. Someone in my family said that the AFC North is the hardest division in the NFL. I corrected him saying that until the Browns step up their game, we won’t be that at all. No where near the NFC East’s success in the past years. I hope that one day our division can be looked at that way. Looks like we are on our way.

Hey, at least when one of us wins the division this year, it won’t seem as easy as it will be for the Broncos/Chargers to win their division!

I came here to bury the Chargers, not to praise them. And I came here to drink Tequila, not to choke her. But I can’t wait to get my hands on somebody. - Ray Ray

i'll admit i'm shocked at the 3-1 bit yeah...

i’ve always said that the Bengals are like that wimpy kid in high school who always gets punked by the bully every day, and you just sit there and watch like “DUDE! PUNCH HIM BACK!” So it was great to see the shrimpy wimp punch back. Unfortunately, what usually happens after the wimp punches back is that he gets punched even harder, but that’s just in the short term along the timeline to becoming a true monster a few years down the road.

Keep drafting OL, get a new RB (easy to do) and keep Carson Palmer alive back there. That receiving corps is sick and the defense is pretty physical.

I guess my question is why are you even communicating with anyone associated with the Steelers? After what they did to the Ravens last season, why even acknowledge their existence.
