C-Mac is not an option for us, or pretty much every other team (perhaps Oakland and Cleveland will go for him). He is older, slower and still recovering from last year’s surgery, that may keep him out all season. He may make a comeback next year, but after missing most of the past three seasons, the odds are his career is over. Rumor also has it he is stubborn for big bucks and won;‘t settle for less pay and only wants to go to a contender (note to C-Mac: if they’re aq contender, they don’t need you because they’re already a contender, dude!).
Also, we’ve seen the last of Rolle, he will retire after having his 2nd surgery on his neck within the past month. Unless a doctor can guarantee him he is completely healthy, which will never happen, he is done,…and still wealthy.

well even so if cmac isn't good enough or samari rolle retire
they ravens still have to add another cornerback to there roster for more depth to the cornerback side
won't happen this year homie
there isn’t anyone worthwhile available. If they’re available, there’s a reason nobody signed them.
We’ll need to make due, once again, with subpar corner play. Foxworth can make strides as a cover corner. Fabian needs—NEEDS—to get it together ASAP. Frank Walker is a liability for penalties but at least he plays hard a physical, which in my mind should put him in front of Carr on the depth chart. It’s time to begin the Lardarius Webb experiment. He can’t play much worse than Carr or Fabian has and with speed like that, he’s a defensive touchdown waiting to happen if he ever causes a turnover.

Open Letter to Samari Rolle:
Dear Samari,
As ravens fans, we all love and respect you. You’ve given us several years of quality play at the corner position and despite your nagging injuries, you’ve come back from each and every one. Each time you go down, our defense misses you dearly as your replacements have been outmatched by opposing receivers time and again.
But this time, you need to stay out of the game.
I’ve heard about how long you’ve been in this neck brace. I don’t know if you’re still in a neck brace now, but you obviously spent a lot of time in one and weren’t able to drive a car, let alone engage in any athletic activity. Once an injury reaches this point, it’s no longer about football. It’s about life.
You should look forward to growing old with your wife and kids. You should want to be healthy when this happens. You need to be able to run around in the back yard and play football with your kids. You need to have a neck healthy enough for sexual activity. You need to be able to drive. These are basic needs in a man’s family life. Returning to football could jeopardize them.
If you return, you not only risk a career-ending injury, you risk a life-changing injury. For you wife, your kids, and yourself, stay away from the game. Live a long and healthy life.
Sincerely,
A Ravens Fan.

The neck brace is a result of Santanio Holmes and Hines Ward’s quick slants or stop and goes. It sure isn’t a result of a tackle. Let’s give our trainers time to work on some other guys, cut health care expenses and put this guy on the scrap heap.
HEY, I’ve got an idea!!! Let’s sign this guy Foxworth for 7 million a year! He did start 4 games last year and he was born in England so he’s smart and witty. Sounds very coachable and an upstanding young man. Even better he played football in the Baltimore area and went to UMD. You know the school that loses to every college who’s name starts with Western or Eastern.
That's what Ozzie does man
He signs good stories. I am not dogging on Michael Oher or anything like that, but I think his life story had alot to do with drafting him. Not a bad thing at all cause he is a beast for us and great character.
But with Foxworth, Ozzie saw a kid from Baltimore who went to UMD, so that definitely helped in his decision to sign him. Loves good stories.
Limp and dangling.
Once again, guys-
if the pass rush was getging to the QB, we’d be thrilled with Foxworth, Washington and the others.

mmmeeh...
you’re half right. Sure, their weaknesses would be concealed better. But it didn’t take longer than 2 or 3 seconds for Rice to get separation against Fabian. They BENCHED him man, they didn’t bench the pass rushers, they benched Fabian.
I agree that an improved pass rush would help the CBs get exposed less often, but it wouldn’t make them “good.” They’d still be the same dudes getting beat while Sizzle and company bailed them out with sacks.

Disagree
Doubtful. Look at the Steelers’ DB’s, and they are no better than ours but having a ferocious pass rush “hides” heir deficiencies and would do enough to hide ours as well to have us win those close games for a change.

you gotta watch fabian on the NFL replay of the minnesota game. there’s just no debating that he was abysmal. I understand that the pass rush would help them, and i agree, but bad is bad and fabian was bad.

Yeah, I noticed
Fabian was purposely stalking the receiver , but trying to stay out of the way.

Last year
Last year Rolle was out at the beginning of the year and our secondary was toasted! Rolle comes back in Oct and the Ravens go on to the championship game.
Does that make Rolle a all-pro? No , but what it shows is that Fabian needs a competent CB on the other side and we do not have one!
Ty Law or C-Mac or someone is needed b/c this is not getting fixed in house !
