Reports out of Ravens HQ have said that Joe learned a good deal from Todd Bouman, and to the contrary, Troy Smith wanted no part of his development. Should the Ravens sign a veteran QB to mentor Joe during his transition to a franchise QB?

I definitely do not want to move Troy down to the #3 QB.

It would make so sense to bring in someone who does not know our system and let them be the back up and throw Troy down to our 3rd guy. Troy knows this system just as well as Flacco I would believe.

I do however agree with bringing in a new 3rd guy to teach Joe a few more things. Vinny wouldnt be a bad choice, but would he really come back?

I still haven’t seen anything that really makes me care where Troy sits on the depth chart…but I’m not sure what any available veteran can teach Joe Flacco that he didn’t learn in 16 regular season and 3 playoff games…except for maybe how to beat the Steelers—I’d be happy if they could bring someone in who could teach that.
