Win Tactic- Kick A Dog While He's Down And Caution To The Wind
Twice we got the snare aroung the dogs neck and put him on his side only to have him slip the noose and bite us in the ass. If we want to beat the Steelers there isn't one second on that clock where we can relieve the pressure. We need to make the moves and have them react and not fend for our lives if we mistakenly blink.
There can be no more protecting of a young Qb or worrying about mistakes. Field position is just a place on a map and should not dictate our plays. We tried this. We worried about this. We lost. Twice. The time for change is not only in politcal D.C. but also here in Baltimore. We sniffed sweet caution in the wind against marginal teams and shut the door to it with difficult opponents. Those intoxicating breezes need to flow into Pittsburgh and subdue the Steeler attacks.
We have the players. We have the heart. We know we can beat the shit out of them. It will come down to the pass we need on first down and the run we need on second. We can only hope our coaches have learned enough from tough contests to put them in the proper order.

Something steelers fans and ravens fans can agree on – Flacco should throw the ball more this sunday.

He will have no choice
which is fine w/ me, because we will protect him like we have all post season (ZERO sacks allowed). He will not have great stats, but will continue to make the key throws to keep drives alive. That will soften up the Steelers defense a bit for McClain and McGahee (I predict a huge game for him) to pick up the yardage. Air it out Joe, show the world what they missed when they choose not to give you even a SINGLE vote for Rookie of the Year!

If Joe wins the game for you then good for him. Personally, I want to see him try.

Don’t we all.

i love it.
There’s going to be some OUTSTANDING safety play this Sunday. The two best in the league. Actually, BOTH All Pro safeties will be on the field this Sunday at the Big Ketchup. I guess as Steelers and Ravens fans though, we shouldn’t be too surprised…

Polamalu is playing with a leg injury of some type. Apparently, it is what limited him in the San Diego game. If it’s still an issue this upcoming weekend, the outstanding safety play might have to keep coming from Jim Leonhard.

Wait McGahee having a big game? Has he ever done that?

See Dallas and Miami games
as well as others this year and around 1200 yards last year. Due to our options, McGahee hasn’t had nearly the year we expected, but he is a very good RB.

So – McGahee will have a huge game but Parker can’t? Because their stats this year and last year are so incredibly different?

It would be great to bring in an unexpected factor like more Rice, Clayton short passes…I would love to see us take advantage of Harrison’s agressiveness by letting him rush deep in the pocket and then dumping off to Rice behind him. Let both D-ends get up field on Joe and have Rice and/or McClaine set up for the dump pass. This will pull up the LB’s and DB’s and then we hit Mason for 10 or Clayton for 30 or Heap for 15.
