During today's press conference, head coach John Harbaugh insinuated that McGahee's eye injury may have been inflicted intentionally during the Baltimore Ravens 28-10 win over the Cleveland Browns. He also stated that the Ravens submitted the incident to the league for review. The following are Harbaugh's comments on the matter:
Have you talk to the league about the thing that occurred with Willis? Because, someone had to do something for that to occur.
We did. We sent it in and we talked to the league. We asked them for their opinion on what happened and we are waiting to hear back on it.
Does [McGahee] know who did it?
Yes, it’s on the tape.
Did he see who did it?
Yes. There were two instances. So, it was two different guys.
Was [Andra] Davis one of them?
I don’t know if we should say.
Could you tell if it was blatant or intended?
I really don’t want to comment on it, but you can see it on the tape.
I know that we are all thinking about the Steelers game here, but this news really disturbed me. I hate to think that players are intentionally trying to injury each other. Obviously, there are no facts yet, but this definitely sounds like a couple of Brown’s players are about to be suspended. Does anyone remember the Albert Haynesworth incident from last year?
