Marcus Smith 11 164 14.9 1 25
Team 29 327 11.3 3 38

These are stats i found when i went to USATODAY.COM to find out more about Marcus Smith. This game was in september of 2007 look at those stats !!!! i thought he got all of his stats against small schools, and bad corners, but Antoine Cason (who i'm a big fan of, and was hoping we would take him at 26) Antoine was one of the top 5 corners in the nation. Cason reminded me a lot of Chris McAlister, he is a shutdown type corner, not the fastest, but he will shut you down. Can you imagine anyone puting up numbers like that against Cmac? i dont know if that has ever happened. If you think i'm lying about Cason watch his highlight video on youtube. He is a beast. If he can do this against a corner of Antoine Cason's caliber, then i have no worries about Marcus smith. He'll be just fine. I'm now really a big fan of Marcus smith, and also his draft mate Justin harper. i saw some mini highlights of harper. He can jump!!!!!!

New Mexico Rushing
ATT YDS AVG TD LG
Donovan Porterie 4 -16 -4.0 0 3
Rodney Ferguson 26 94 3.6 0 17
Paul Baker 5 11 2.2 0 4
Marcus Smith 2 8 4.0 0 9
Team 37 97 2.6 0 17

he also averages 4 yards per carry. This guy is the truth, i am really excited about him. We need to give them a chance to compete. I was really in awe when i saw those stats. and by the way, who ever Donovan Porterie is, they dont need to hand him the ball anymore. CANT WAIT FOR THE SEASON TO START!!!!!!!

Check out my interview...

...w/ Marcus Smith. He’s gone thru a lot in his life, as you will read. He was also interviewed by Fox 45’s Amy Fadool, and he spoke real well and poised for a young man. He was incredibly consistent in his career, has good size and great hands. I’d love to see him succeed. We could drop Mason for cap space, play Clayton, D-Will, Marcus and Justin Harper and do fine. Then we’d have the cap room to re-sign Suggs and ultimately Bart Scott and yes, even Ray-Ray!
