Ed Reed For MVP...or DPOY.

if this guy isn't up for DPOY, then IDK who is, this guy is a beast!! he is a game changer, and can win a game for you, he is a one of a kind talent, and it is rare to see a player that has this much effect on a game, AND HE PLAYS DEFENCE!! the guy scores more TDs than the detroit lions, and it seems Mr Reed is getting some National attention as well.

I dont think he will get it.....

Even though we all believe that he deserves it. It is going to be one of those guys with 15-16 sacks like Damarcus Ware or James Harrison. As much as I hate to say it, I think Harrsion is going to win it because of the fact that he does not just sack the QB, but causes so many god damn fumbles. But yes, Reed will be a candidate for DPOY, but not MVP. You have to have like the best defensive performance in the history of the NFL to be the League MVP. Ray Lewis has like 3 billion tackles that one year and was nominated for MVP, but only got DPOY ; )

Just be happy with the fact that we are in the playoff hunt and that Ed Reed is doing what we all know he can do.

I agree unless...

He manages to continue his streak of touchdowns. I watched the game on DVR after I got home for a little while. The statistic they had on him was unreal. (The INT TDS, Punts Blocked, Punt Returns, etc)

It was cool how they were talking about him and the very next play, he got the pick off of the tipped pass.

He still drives me crazy with the way he holds the ball, but whatever… He was definitely the MVP last night.

Yea, if he keeps scoring like he has, then he will be MVP

I mean come on, he has 3 defensive TDs already this season, that is more than some of the TEAMS in the league.

Sweet Stat

Ed Reed has more TD’s (3) then either of the Bengal’s starting RB’s, Perry (2) and Benson (1) and the same number as the Bengal’s RB’s combined. Ouch.

Albert Haynesworth?

I think James Harrison and LaMar Woodley will knock each other out for the Defensive MVP Award. Reed has been great lately but was pretty invisible the first half of the season. Haynesworth is a beast on a great defense of a very good team.

Post from a Steelerfan

The battle for the DPOY race is great this year! DWare, Deebo, Porter, Ed Reed, Polamalu and Haynesworth are playing great! But, I think the consistency should be considered, so Deebo and DWare should win that, probably Deebo, who as mentioned is a fumble machine! I feel so lucky to ste(e)al this beast from you guys!

Good luck for you this Sunday, will be a great defensive game! Probably with lots of sacks and some Turnovers! ANd We wil see you again in January! I hope on the AFC Champ Game!

Me too. thanks

it will be a great defensive game, but who the hell is Deebo?!? james harrison? if so, i see your point, but If ed Reed has one more touchdown, he is definately the DPOY.

Was that really a Steeler fan?

Because I am pretty sure he was way too nice. Maybe cause he is in Brazil.

Deebo is Harrison. Not sure why but I saw it on a Steeler site. I guess a reference to the movie, “Friday”. Not sure if that was Deebo or Deevo. Who knows, who cares. We need to block the hell out of him this time.

Yeah

Deebo is a reference to Friday. Harrison resembles this character in the movie.

Rivalry

I think a good rival is the one that you hate and respect the most! And I have all respect on Ravens Team, they are a smash mouth football, with a great D, like my beloved Steelers! BuT I HATE YOUR TEAM HEHE! Rivalry is what makes this game so fucking good!

lets get it on! ….god flacco..please hold onto the ball…mcgahee might not get a touch after he pussed out on us…it will be the McClane show. ball control all night and 2 beutiful fake plays to heap and clayton for 14!….i’d run a receiver deep past Palomalu every play just to keep him away from, well, everything!

We are all very disappointed

with Willis. Wondering what is going on with him and not thrilled with his performance Sunday night. However, he has been our best all around back and we will continue to need him to go deep in the playoffs. Hopefully, he can get it together.

Just wait

I believe the Ravens are resting him for these last couple of games. We are using McClain as our pounder for now, but we will se alot of Willis in the play-offs. The Ravens dont see the need to use Willis so much right know. Leron and Ray are doing a satisfying job. We are able to set up play-action and control the clock because of our running game. Save Wills for later.

FEAR THE NEVERMORE DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

i hope your right.

if he plays well, i’ll be a happy man, if he goes back to his old willis McGahee form i think he will be very valuable for us. The thing is, We dont have a home run threat at RB, and willis is the best we’ve got. We dont have anyone to get us 40 50 yards runs, and our best Bet is McGahee, so WE NEED YOU WILLIS!!!

by RAVEN'SD#1 on Dec 9, 2008 8:01 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I dont know

Watching Willis he doesn’t do that well with the times he gets the ball. Rice and Mclane are doing better then him I would stick with them and let Mcgahee sit. And how many times can he get hurt

by archon095 on Dec 9, 2008 10:38 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

if resting him means having him come out rusty and screwing up, what’s the point. its simply because the other 2 are kicking ass and might keep him on the bench the rest of the season if they break a tough steeler d.

Ed Reed

For the HALL OF FAME

I mean he’s definitely gonna go in for being the best all-around Safety in his playing career. So does the MVP matter?
