Better know the Jacksonville Jaguars: Ask Big Cat Country
Hey Ravens fans, John from Big Cat Country here. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy New Years, and everything else that goes with it. I'm not sure why the NFL moved the game to 4:15, are the Ravens really that big of a draw? Just find it odd since it's plainly obvious this game could be more like a preseason game for us as we go through the motions on one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history. My one main memory of the Jags-Ravens was a 30-27 come back victory in 1996 that launched the Jags cinderella run to the AFC Championship game.

You get 96, we get 2000. Sounds fair.
As for questions… well it’s been a disappointing season for Jacksonville. Where do you think the team is right now? Are they fired up to go out with a bang against a winning team? Or do you think they are going to really mail it in.
I know the Offensive Line issues have been killer, but what happened to the Jacksonville Defense?
O-line really was the beginning of the end for this team
We have no O-line injuries, we have a running game, we have a running game, Garrard isn’t throwing it 40 times a game. Yada yada yada. The defense, we should have seen the signs when Tom Brady picked us apart in the divisional round last year. Age, injuries, etc.

Also, sorry if you feel the answer is abit lacking. We've been asked this question every week since like Week 6 or 7, started to get old

I can't help but remember...
…the comeback win with the final TD pass from Banks to Shannon Sharp. I was sitting in the upper deck four rows from the top and I just wanted to go home at halftime. But I stuck it out and the Ravens rewarded me as Tony Banks was a passing maniac that second half and we came back from a huge deficit.
Now we are just hoping you guys will lay down and let us roll over you to have it in the bag long before the end of the game. However, MJD still worries me because he can score whenever he touches the ball. Garrard is also an X-factor, as he can heat up and is a threat to take off as well. Do you see the Jags playing hard and making a game of this or do you see them wearing down by the fourth quarter and thinking more about their off season than the rest of the season?
Thanks for posting here like I did over at your site.

No problem, been part of the Standard Procedure all season
As for whether or not we give you a game? I’m not sure. The Jags-Colts game last Thursday was akin to a 4-7 college team trying to knock off their big rival. I’m not sure how much we have left in the tank. Like I said, I think this could be just be Game 1 of the 2009 Preseason for us, depending on the mood of everybody.

Thanks for coming by John.
It is too bad to see your team performing the way they are this year. Besides the Ravens, I have always rooted for the Jags. You guys were a team that came into the league through expansion and started off with a bang, just like the Ravens. MJD is one of my favorite players to watch and I love your defense. Nelson, Mathis, Durant, Henderson, such a fun team to watch.
My question for you though is how do you guys intend on trying to win the battle of controlling the clock? All year, the Ravens have won the ball control battle if they got a lead. We wear you down early with the running of 3 very different backs and will then give you the play action to get a quick 3 or 7. Ravens are the league leaders in managing he clock in the 4th quarter this year and it has closed out many games for us. How will the defense attack our running game and try to force some late 4th downs?
You have to hate losing more than you love winning
