AFC North Scenarios

This is taken from ESPN's AFC North Blogger, James Walker. It breaks down what exactly is on the line this Sunday between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers @ M&T Bank Stadium.

So here is a breakdown of all the possibilities:

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh clinches the AFC North Division and a first-round bye with:

    * PIT win.

Pittsburgh clinches a playoff spot with:

   1. PIT tie + NE loss or tie OR
   2. PIT tie + MIA loss or tie + NYJ loss or tie OR
   3. NE loss + NYJ loss or tie OR
   4. NE loss + MIA loss or tie OR
   5. NYJ loss + MIA loss.

Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore clinches a playoff spot with:

   1. BAL win + NE loss + NYJ loss or tie OR
   2. BAL win + NE loss + MIA loss or tie OR
   3. BAL win + MIA loss + NYJ loss + IND loss or tie OR
   4. BAL win + MIA loss + NYJ loss + IND clinches strength of victory

So with a win and a little help this week, our Ravens can sure up a spot in the playoffs. However, if any of these scenarios goes our way, it does not mean that we should not keep working towards winning our division.

Of course, we cannot control the way Pittsburgh will play against the Titans and Browns the following weeks, but making sure an attempt is made at winning the rest of our games, one game at a time of course, could get us to 12-4. With a strong finish and some help from the Titans and/or Browns, we could be the AFC North Division Kings and get ourselves a first round bye in the playoffs with at least one home game.

Lets keep up the optimism Baltimore! We need to rally behind our Ravens this week and do everything we can to show them that we support this team in every way.

I'll leave you with a nice image that I hope we will see many of times during this War.

you think I could get that image in wallpaper side?

I have a 20in imac so im guessing the 1600×1200 is kinda out of the question… So anything generally accepted as wallpaper size would be great

Dont you just love the right foot sticking out so high in the air.

I think I would rather get in a motorcycle accident than to have that man hit me.

Phelps goes Jessica on us

When Phelps showed off his number 20 jersey during the tv shot of him in the skybox he looked like Jessica Simpson gushing over Romo. I hope Ed Reed concentrates on the game. LOL.

Maybe he will wear a one of the Pink Jerseys.

You know, maybe a Ray Lewis Pink 52 or Ed Reed Pink 20. HEHE!

James Harrison

Flacco better watch his back on Sunday, cause Silverback is coming.

And forget about Michael Phelps, how is Ed Reed going to concentrate with memories of this on his mind?

You think I give a flying fuck about McNair?

The man stayed in the pocket and took those hits cause he was old and couldnt go anywhere with his feet. Flacco will be able to run away from some of those sacks.

Good pictures, but the edge goes to the ben picture because he’s airborne.

the play was dead in this picture and McNaire was headed to the sideline when this goof tried to get the ball…something about that ball being Harrison’s first sack and McNaire teasing him that he couldn’t have it….

i never understood how McNaire could move in all his body armor.

That is awesome footage.

I wish it was a lot shorter to post on one of my main stories.

Please dont make me relive that McNair game last year...

Didnt we turn the ball over 14 times in the first 2 minutes…

The Ben is better. McNair manage to stay on his feet. Of course it didnt matter.

oh man, this isn’t the angle that shows the shit flying out of his as like a squirrel on 695.

damn! my last comment was meant for the Ben picture at top..fn’ put it here…same difference however.

That is definitely his left foot in the air buddy.

GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!!!

Kidding, that is a funny picture. Whats even funnier is that both Reed’s hands are not on a football. One hand is on Harrison’s helmet. Looks like he is congratulating him on breaking his spine in two!

What a fucking hit, I watched it earlier today and it was nasty!

What's with the collar

You are keeping that poor dog from licking his own balls. That is so mean!

His dog is an alcoholic...

See the beer in the picture. But hey, I got two 25 pound Rat terriers, they are freaking insane. Ive seen both my puppies play tug-of-war with a groundhog, squirrel, rabbit, and even snake! All of which they hunted down and killed. Watch out for the little dogs man, they may be the size of your shoe, but they have some fury behind them.
